Our 2012 RAM 2500 truck with 135k miles, had it's fuel tank fail. The dealership in Oak Ridge, TN tested the vehicle and found that the gas tank tubes were broken causing us to not be able to fill the tank. The dealership recommended "NEED TO REPLACE GAS TANK". Mopar aka Stellantis does not make the fuel tank anymore, the "replacement" fuel tank does not work (completely wrong configuration), there is not an aftermarket tank. We have a Million Mile bumper to bumper warranty with MOPAR. "Customer Care" does not care.
My passenger headlights keeps going in and out. The wiring harness has been replaced twice and it still does it. My check engine light keeps coming on for the evap system even though its been replaced.
Some electrical components became inoperative in the quick minute. Fuel pump was running continuedly till the battery was drained. Mechanic, I had used before told me that the TIPM Module was defective and needed replaced. Truck just before the battery died was that not all Eletronic's were working. Interior lights, horn, cruise control, FOBs not responding to the vehicle. Mechanic stated that the TPIM did need to be replaced. Contacted dealership were purchased and they told me that there have been recalls out on this particular part. I know that from 2009 to 2017 there have been several models that were impacted by this part being defective. I do have the invoice from the mechanic that took care of replacing the TIPM module.
There are two issues at hand here. One is the fuel pump fuse/relay. It went out but cant be fixed without replacing the entire fuse box as it is internally within fuse box. I did a bypass and replaced fuel pump, but I still have codes related to fuel system having a leak. When this issue happened, my wife was left stranded as the truck wouldn't turn on. Also, on a different note, I noticed my trailer brake light coming on saying it is disable and flashes on and off as I am driving. Not sure if this is related to the electrical aspect of it. The other was on engine. I have a 2011 Ram 2500 5.7 4x4. It started with having a cylinder 1 misfire. I replaced spark plugs and coils. Still had issue and after some research, I found out that the valve stem/spring in engine head break and cause the lifters and camshaft to rub and release metal shavings through out engine. …
While in a parking lot the left side tie rod broke, which I was fortunate enough to have had it happen in the parking lot and not 2 minutes earlier when I was traveling at 75 MPH on the toll way. I had just received the recall notice 3 days prior to the incident, and had not had time to take in in. Once the truck arrived to the dealership maxwell super center located in austin texas, they argued with me that the tie rod that had broke was not a part of the recall and that I would be responsible for payment. I literally had to prove to them on the following Monday that this was the tie rod under the recall and that everyone concerned was lucky that I was not killed or killed someone else I was also informed that there was another recall on my truck as well that they were not yet prepared to fix and that I would be placed on a list and called once the needed items were available to make …
I received a ve5 late life emission performance degradation recall in January 2021. I had the recall performed on 1.27/2021 at razzari Dodge, merced. They installed a new cat converter and exhaust manifold. When I got my truck back, I had an CEL error code p2271 o2 sensor. I had to pay $707.74 and $978.98 to get the truck running. I had no previous CEL. I think they broke the wiring harness or o2 sensors when they performed the recall. . I think the ve5 recall repair, should make the entire emissions system function, including the control electronics.
While driving between 10-15 MPH in city traffic the vehicle will accelerate when applying the brake. This has happened twice within a week and the dealership is unable to find anything wrong when taken in by me. I am presently scared to drive the vehicle not knowing when the event May occur again or if it could happen at higher speeds and endanger mine and other lives.
Car was brought in 5 times to have various front end recalls performed , two different dealers bedard brothers in cheshire mass. And beterra for steering recall (now n49/NHTSA 13v-529) previously same recall had two or three different numbers. They have never had the parts and could never perform the recall. Because they say that the steering May fail at any moment I have used the vehicle only when I absolutely have no other transportation. Hence as of today the car has 17,200 miles only. The other problem is loss of coolant , the EGR cooler has been leaking , I have had it at dealers three times and they have no clue how to repair . This is a common complaint. Because this internal leak goes into the turbocharger. The turbocharger failed and on 7/08/13 had to be replaced at 16,150 miles . …
