The contact owns a 2012 RAM 2500 equipped with Kenda Tires, Tire Line: Klever, Tire Size: LT275/70/R18, DOT Number: [VIN]. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle started bouncing. The tire shop replaced the front passenger's side tire. The contact stated that approximately two weeks later, he experienced the same failure with the front driver's side tire. The contact took the vehicle back to the tire shop and had the front driver's side tire replaced with the spear tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that he had left a voicemail with the manufacturer but had not yet received a callback. …
I purchased a pair of Treadwright warden tires for the rear of my wife's truck. In less than 100 miles the tread separated from the casing on one of the tires. I caught it before it completely blew out and have pictures. The replacement they sent has a blown sidewall. I mounted it and a bubble started to form that was 1/2" high and 3" around with just 20psi, operating PSI for the tire is 80PSI. I immediately stopped inflation and contacted Treadwright. They tried to convince me that it was "overlap" and safe to use. I told them it is not over lap and showed them multiple pictures of the tire from different angles to prove it has a blown belt. They still insisted it was a serviceable tire. It's not and I have pictures. I've used Treadwright tires for the last 5 or so years. Over the last year and a half to 2 years I've received 6 defective tires. …
My safety complaint on our 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 truck should already be in file! We have had safety issues with this truck ever since purchasing it as a used vehicle from ramey's in beckley, wv. There are at present three (3) recalls on this vehicle, of which n49 appears to be the most life-threatening, which we were never notified about, nor were we ever notified about the buyback on this truck. We accidentally found out. We were never notified of anything concerning these problems, probably because we purchased it used. The problem with the tie rod, which could cause loss of control and a possible crash is not the only life-threatening recall. The recall with the fuel heater could possibly cause a fire. …
I was driving at the speed limit on the highway, normal day, and I notice a sudden vibration started to feel worst and worst, so I got out of the highway and notice one of the tires deformed on the contact part of the tire, the belt is coming off , I drove home city roads and next day took it to my mechanic shop , the issue is confirmed , I talked to my the tire wholesaler to replace the tires , and they said " I can only give you a partial cost of the old tire and the new tire cost even more" no covering the warranty at all, and to be honest I will not want to drive this car with this set of tires anymore I do not feel safe , tires got less than 10000 miles, I wrote an email to falken costomer services after I talked to the wholesaler. …
This is the 3rd time this happened to me. The first time I was driving around 55 and the truck started to shake so bad I could not actually hold onto the steering wheel, and I made it to the side of the road. I thought was a flat tire and I pulled over to find nothing wrong. The second was bad as it shook so violently, I was unable to make it to the side of the road, so I hit the brakes in the middle of traffic to stop. This 3rd time I happen to be traveling 65 mph on the interstate in PA and hit a small bump and all of the sudden the truck felt like it was bouncing off of the road. I hit the brakes to slow down and drove to the side and into a field. I purchased tie rods and actually the entire front suspension. This was the worst shaking I have ever felt in 45 years of driving. This is going to get me killed when this happens on the road. Please help. [redacted]
The second day I owned my 2010 power wagon I experienced the death wobble. It only had 16,000 miles on it. Took it back to the dealership replaced steering dampener and tires. This worked for only a few months. That was 2011 when it started. It is now April 2015 have been having the same issue every few months. I have rebuilt the entire front end helped for a little while but it soon came back. I have put 4 sets of tires on it also in this time period. I installed an aftermarket dual steering stabilizer same result. My truck only has 63,400 miles on it now. Two days ago running down the toll road hit an expansion joint at 70 miles per hour and started the death wobble cars scattered all around me as truck shakes violently until you can slowly slow your speed down to about 30 miles per hour praying that nobody slams into you. This happened twice in a matter of about five miles. …
We noticed for the past month that our tires were wearing on the outside of both front tires. We took the truck to 3 different les schwab tire businesses (weiser, idaho, emmett, idaho and ontario, oregon) and all 3 businesses told us that there was nothing wrong with the tires. Driving at 25 MPH last month, (July 8, 2015), we encountered a steering problem. The truck was wanting to turn at it's leisure while pointing in a straight direction. The steering was sloppy, would not self center, would drift to the left and right and not correct. Approximately 15 minutes after this happened, we had a blow out on the passenger front. What was left of the tire and the driver's side was completely worn and "rough" looking. There was no way to change the tire as the wheel itself was "bowed" in. …
