The engine coil packs and spark plus were faulty. After we paid the dealership 700 to fix WHICH WAS NEVER FIXED then we fixed on our own paid a family friend to look at and fixed and then to another dealer to fix NEVER WERE fixed which cause faulty engine and engine collapsed. When told the dealer ship the problem they told us they couldn't look at it until 2 weeks from that day and then we had to pay for it.
The transmission is stalling at 25739 miles. I bought it in April of 2020, 6 months ago. When accelerated the engine struggles to get over 65 miles and revs incredibly. Then the tachometer shoots up and down giving me unstable speeds. This happened on the expressway continuously. It is still under warranty and I am taking it to the Dodge dealership tomorrow. There is also a shake I feel and vibration.
When driving over 50 MPH the RPM starts escalating and goes back to normal. RPM repeats after one to two minutes. After putting a full tank of gas, check engine light came on and meter read gas tank empty. Vehicle stayed with the dealership for 8 days first time. Fuel pump and wires was fully replaced. Vehicle is back with dealership for a second time. This time the gas meter reads less than 3/4 tank as a full tank of gas is put into the vehicle. RPM starts doing the same thing when the vehicle hits 50 MPH. Was informed by the dealership fuel pump and wires are the reason for my vehicle being in the shop again. Vehicle is back twice in the shop less than 2 months. Still without a proper working vehicle
I was driving on the freeway and noticed that it was struggling for power. I exited. At the stoplight my car started shaking and puttering. `when I pressed the gas to go the car puttered like it didn't want to go, but then did. So I drove to the car dealership on the next exit. My car shut itself off in the entrance to the dealership. The mechanic reported that a fuel injector had exploded and was spewing raw gas. My car is now in the shop awaiting parts. Another issue is that it easily slips int reverse while driving. Serious safety concerns!
The contact's sister-in-law owns a 2017 Dodge Journey. The contact stated she smelled an abnormal gasoline odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact opened the hood and became aware of gasoline bubbling up from the fuel line. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the fuel line needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The mechanic researched and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V814000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,300.
Severe shaking at 60mph and above. Numerous attempts to correct the issue through dealership, private mechanics with balancing and high speed balancing did not correct the issue. It was determined through several mechanics that the ABS Module is no longer working and could contribute to the shaking of the vehicle. The dealership advised the manufacturer does not make these parts anymore. I tried purchasing a rebuilt ABS and it did not work as it was not compatible with my VIN. This is the second Dodge Journey I have owned and both have had the shaking issue. My automatic braking system and cruise control will no longer work as a result of the ABS failure, which makes this very dangerous to drive. I only have around 90,000 miles on this car and planned to keep it long term, but finding that I cannot get parts. I have also always had many problems with the fuel system. …
Since I bought this car it would pull when I drive. Asked dodge once and told nothing wrong. Now years later an engine light always shows up. Car was checked and O2 sensor issue. I found recall on exact issue and my VIN not showing up. I want this fixed so my vin shows up as recall. This is not ok. I have enclosed the recall.
Vehicle while drive fine for many miles usually after driving on the highway but when I need to make a turn it becomes difficult for the vehicle to accelerate and will suddenly jerk forward or pop. My car was recently serviced due to the drive shaft cracking in an abnormal way according to mechanics which costed $4200 I expected the issue to be solved after the repair but it seems to have gotten worse there was a humming sound now while turning I'm afraid the problem May be manufacturer related since it's happening again after the repair
