Head rest deployed outside of "extended warranty " its a safety hazard. This part should be total recalled. The rear passenger door latch gets stuck or pops open randomly. It will not close when this happens and it has come open upon locking and driving! Again dangerous where children sit. This is with child lock on or off the problem continues. The third complaint is the seat belts will not retract in the front seat but the dealership requires me to pay a fee to have it assessed. This is a "recalled"issue but it isn't for my vin These three things seem to all fall shortly after buying the vehicle within the last four yrs. Exact dates unknown.

The backup light assembly is this vehicle fills with water during rain or car washes, speed is irelevant. The water shorts out the LED lights, causing them to fail. The assembly is supposed to be water tight, therefor there is no way for the water it collects to drain. Therefore, the metal components of this assembly are also beginning to rust due to the persistent presence of water. Replacing this failed assembly costs $1,300. This component should continue to be water tight on well maintained vehicles, such as mine. This failure feels like a flaw in the design of the original part. Dodge should replace these failed assemblies at a much more reasonable price, or free of charge, due to the fact that the component is designed to last the life of the vehicle, and certainly isn't for me and many others.

This actually happened about 4 months ago. I was at the post office dropping off mail outside in the mailbox in my car. I dropped a piece of mail on the ground. I put my car in park and got out of my car. My car began to roll forward, I was able to get in and place my foot on the brake. My door hit the mailbox. Later I went to the dealer to get a quote to fix my door and told them what happened. They said I must have never put it in park. They wanted $1000 to fix a little scratch and dent on the door. I decide not to fix it. Today I noticed the possible recall, thought I should mention this. I'm not looking for a response. Than you for your time.

This has happened twice, the first time was a month or so ago but it happened again last week and the wound was much worse. The exposed edge of the left and right rear brake light are extremely sharp and exposed anytime the rear hatch is open/up. I thought about making a video showing how it could peal and Apple or watermelon skin. My right arm has a short 3/4" scrap (1st) and now an almost 3" long scrap that is taking its time to heal. If your skin touches those edges and has any amount of force it will scrape the skin. This happens during unloading if a package shifts while unloading.

2014 Dodge Durango tail light assembly not properly sealed when manufactured and allows water to enter and ruin circuit board for LED tail lights. I have electrical engineering degree and this is not a bulb burned out. The leds circuit board is what's damaged not the leds. Dealers say warranty does not cover bulbs. But this is a whole tail light assembly that was not sealed right from the factory. It cost $1100 to replace . This is a defect not normal wear and tear. There are literally thousands of people online with same issue.

On May 31, 2018 while driving down the interstate in the rain, my front left molding wheel flare flew off of my 2014 Dodge Durango. There were no hazards in the roadway and I did not hit anything that would have caused it to fly off. There had also been no previous signs that it was lose or about to come off, it just simply flew off while I was driving. Inspection of the vehicle afterwards also did not indicate any damage to the wheel hub area that would have caused the wheel flare to detach.

I backed the vehicle out of the garage onto the driveway, then put it in park. I left the engine running and exited the vehicle to walk in the garage. I was already in the garage and turned back to see the vehicle was moving forward. I tried to get back in to stop the car and was trapped between the door and the car. Unable to stop the vehicle, it continued forward, swiping the center garage beam and crushing me. Updated 03/21/17
