What owners report
The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front end of the vehicle started vibrating. Additionally, the contact stated that the front passenger's side tire had sustained a blowout. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front alignment of the vehicle had failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. An unknown dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 143,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the TPMS warning light illuminated, and the contact became aware that the air pressure level was not being read from the rear driver's side tire. The contact stopped on the side of the road and examined the tire, but the tire was not low. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the battery in the TPMS was not functioning as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 30,000.
Manufacturer Claim that the wheels on the Dodge Charger are fully powder-coated, which they are not (VIN: [redacted]). Therefore, since the wheels are not fully powder coated, the poorly painted wheel tends to fail to adhere to the tire, causing slow undetectable leaks and fast wear on the tires. About a year ago I have Purchased brand new tires and had the Vehicle Aligned to prolong the tire's life. Now the problem seems to get worse as the days go on and I am looking to replace my wheels for that reason. I would like for Dodge to at least re-powder coat my wheels entirely since I was sold partially painted wheels.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the suspension and most of the nuts and bolts on both front wheels were rusted. The vehicle was taken to cutter Chrysler Jeep Dodge of pearl city [phone], located at 905 kamehameha hwy, pearl city, hi 96782) where it was confirmed that the parts were corroded. The technician stated that a claim would be filed. The contact was not called back. The contact was not sure whether the manufacture was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40.
I driven my car and parked it for a few hours and when I returned the tire indicator said the tire was at 0. Passenger side front tire reads 0 tire pressure even when the tire is inflated at or above 32 psi. It continues to read tire pressure low inflate to 32 psi.
All four axles and spindle nuts are literally decaying and crumbling. Its to the point the guy at the tire shop said its not safe. Being a awd vehicle it puts a lot of strain on the hubs. The car only has 65,000 miles on it.
I had a small air leak in the rear driver side tire. I took it to get the tire repaired, and they informed me that the wheel was actually cracked. I took the car to get the rim repaired, and it was maintaining pressure. I did not check the other wheels, as they were maintaining pressure. Approximately 2 weeks later, I was involved in a car accident while driving down a local highway (approximately 55 MPH), where the car started shaking, and I lost control of the vehicle. I believe that the front passenger rim was cracked as well, which LED to wheel failure and a blowout. Ultimately, I ended up in a concrete wall and the car was totaled.
The steering started grabbing and sqealing around 81K miles when I turn. Sometimes it would become very hard to control when slowing down to turn such as at red lights or in a drive thru. No lights or sensors ever came on. From what I have read online there are several 2013 Dodge chargers with the same issue. This is very dangerous and expensive to have repaired. I opted to have it fixed but I feel this issue should be looked into. I had the gear rack and pinion and power pump replaced.
