What owners report

The vehicles first issue I had was about a month of owning the vehicle , with the Uconnect infotainment system not wanting to turn off or on and being frozen with only showing a still image of the back camera. I fixed it after I disconnected the battery for about 2 minutes. Then I had a transmission problem which needed servicing not even a year into owning the vehicle. I had to go to the service center to have part replaced, took about a month to get replaced due to back order. Then in June of 2021 the car wouldn't go in reverse or drive. As if the emergency brake was on and wouldn't budge. Had to tow the car to the dealership and leave overnight. When the car was dropped off at the dealership it had to be shaken off the tow bed. Was called to come pick the care up the next day because "no issues were found and car is functioning properly". …

Over 2 years ago I took my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to drive it and see why it sometimes pulls the steering when going around a curve to the left. they drove it and said it never did pull. Since then, it now pulls to the right when going around curves to the right also. It is doing it more frequently and I am in fear that it will either cause me to go off the road or hit someone when it all of a sudden jerks, like it is catching on something in the tire or something. I wouldn't even let my grandson drive it when he got his learners permit. I have since then decided to look for a safer vehicle and will be trading it since no one can figure out the issue. It jerks hard all of a sudden and you have to make sure you are holding the steering wheel tight. I am reporting to hopefully prevent an accident.

The electric steering rack failed. I was turning into a parking lot and suddenly there was no power steering. Luckily I had both hands on the wheel and was able to avoid an accident. A dash light came on at that time related to steering. My mechanic was able to pull the code. I was able to drive home. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? I have the EPS unit right now - but it is a Core and I have 14 days to return. Please let me know ASAP if you want me to keep it. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Sudden loss of power steering without advanced notice. Old cars with power steering often make a "noise" prior to failure. Electric Power Steering like on my car doesn't provide advanced notice of issues. Also, failures of power steering at 57K miles are rare. …

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH in the rain, the windshield wipers inadvertently increased speed and the cruise control accelerated the vehicle to over 100 MPH. The contact stated that the electronic braking system and power steering failed. The contact then pulled the neutral override feature to stop the vehicle. The contact then restarted the vehicle and proceeded to his destination. There were numerous unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to diagnose and determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,500.

I have noticed this problem a Coulee times and couldn't diagnose because it would flash on the display behind the steering wheel for less than a second over the last 2-3 days driving the vehicle. 8/3/21 The issue got worse due to the message flashing flashed in longer increments, service stability system. I automatically got worried, but as i climbed a mountain in Western North Carolina the message also said ABS SYSTEM, Power steering system and turned off power steering automatically making new use force to turn the vehicle on a curvy road up to clingmans dome. The power steering got me shook as i have enough skill to not cause an accident, but after getting down the mountain to Sevierville, tn it got worse. All the lights starting random flashes, and then nothing. No issue, no warning lights, nothing. …

as i was driving getting ready to make a turn i suddenly lost control of my car. The steering wheel became stiff and was unable to move it ultimately causing me to crash, Dodge/Chrysler needs to get there stuff together and do something about this, this is ridiculous, would not recommend buying anything involved with the brand whatsoever
