In September of 2014, I received a recall from the state of massachusetts about (1) part that must be repaired in my 2003 Cadillac Deville sedan: (1) ignition switch 14V355000, the only recall showing up on the GM web-site is the ignition switch and the other three and the first are listed here totaling (4) recalls all together! After entering my make, model, year, and VIN, of my vehicle I received three more urgent recalls ! (2) fuel tank pressure sensor 03V238000, (3) driver air bag 03V051000, and the (4) air bag inflator 02V222000. During a recorded phone conversation an agent and a manager at/from (GM) general motors stated that they do no honor any recalls from safercar.gov/NHTSA or any other web-site as they are "not valid" but their own @GM.com. These are serious recalls that require immediate attention and validation by GM before they are sued for much more than simple repairs! …

The car started accelerating, on its own, up to 40 MPH from a stop sign or red light. The gas pedal was not stuck. Legacy Ford in lagrande, oregon has told us it is an internal problem and they will have to put their diagnostic machine on it. We have already paid them 179.36 for labor, gasket and cleaner. They had told us to bring the car to them if it happened when we were in town so they could test it further. Last week I was in town and it happened so I took it to them. They couldn't diagnose the problem at the time so that is why they need to use the diagnostic machine. I tried to report this to Cadillac but they weren't interested in my problem.

All fixed by dealer and extended warranty. We paid #50.00 deductible for each trip to service dept. 8 times since jan 05. The complaint is regarding the number of times we have been without a vehicle and the numerous repairs on a car that is suppose to be well made, and of course is very expensive. We are selling this vehicle because it is not reliable and will have to withdraw several thousand dollars to make up the difference of the sale value and what we owe. We would be keeping the car until paid for if there had not been so many problems. This car is kept in a garage at all times, and we have it serviced every 3000 miles and have done this since we bought the car in dec 2003. …

2001 Deville fuel level indicator is erratic, showing three bars and then jumping to almost full causing me to run out gas. The car has 140,000 miles on it. Now I have had to use my trip odometer as a fuel gauge, knowing how many miles per gallon I average. I have heard this a common problem in GM vehicles newer than 2008. I also hear that this is expensive to fix.
