On September 30, 2014, I was driving down the highway in my 2005 Cadillac Deville at the speed of 65 MPH. I exit on to an exit ramp and stopped at a stop light. While at the light my brake pedal went to the floor. I tried pumping the brakes but the peddle kept going to the floor. I then realized I lost my breaks. The repair shop that repaired my brakes stated that the brake line going to the rear brakes rusted out in the middle of the car, which caused my brake failure. This repair cost me $572.66 to run 2 new brake lines from the front of the car to the rear brakes. I was very lucky that the brakes failed while I was stopped and not trying to stop at 65 MPH. I have an 84 Chevy, a 98 Buick and a 2002 Chevy and the only thing I ever did to the brakes was to replace them when they wore out. I am very interested in your explanation of why the brake line rusted out.
Takata recall. One day was driving all was well it had just sprinkled before ia left home. Roads were whet I slowed down to cross rr tracks when increased gas tires slipped or spun a lil, from bumps on tracks and acceleration made numerous sensors I think got faulty. Suspension traction, service engine soon,, ABS, and air bag. I reset information control center. But with in 3 mins after you take off they all light up again ABS I just changed brake pads 4 months ago there still under warranty.going with ceramic this time. I also have 2 psi sensors out. Neither back window goes down one needs motor the other on the regulator a plastic clip that keeps it inline is worn out. I figured that out. But idk why all them safety warnings came on and why I cannot get traction control to ever go off? Just find it weird happened all at once car still starts and runs fine. …

I tried to explain to the dealership that unaware of the recall my cars breaks had failed and crashed my vehicle. They said the only thing that was affected was the key. I had told her that the result of my crash was from my breaks not working due to the recall. She told me no that that wasnt affected. I just want my car to be safe on the road as i have kids, and family that ride with me regularly.
Tl contact owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville. In October of 2008, after being parked for approximately twenty minutes, the vehicle rolled backwards into a parked vehicle. There was no prior warning of brake failure and no injuries. Three weeks ago, the vehicle disappeared after being parked for an hour. The contact originally suspected that the vehicle had been stolen. He looked approximately 35 yards down the street and noticed a crowd of people and the police. The vehicle had rolled down the street, but did not strike anything or anyone. The vehicle was taken in for service and the contact was informed that the vehicle had improper spring tension and the parking pawl was not engaging as designed. The vehicle was repaired, but the contact feels that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect and would like assistance. The failure mileage was 39,000. Updated 05/27/09. …
