The ABS & traction control indicators come up on the screen along with check as I'm driving. When this happens my brakes make a weird sound like a sprung spring and the brakes feel like they're gone but they're not. It's scary be sure I feel I May not be able to stop which to me is a safety hazard. No codes show even though the check light came on, but none of the indicator lights ever stay on very long, it's off and on , off and on, just pops up occasionally, all 3 together every time. It May go days before they decide to pop up on the dash again. Friend was driving my car at the normal speed limit and the car cut off. When the car cut off a car hit her from the side which caused the car to spin out of control and hit another car! The air bags never deployed and she was hurt badly. The key ignition recall for the 2003 Cadillac said that it will cause the car key to shift and could cut off while driving. This is a serious matter that needs to be taken care of because her neck and shoulder and foot got injured very badly because the air bags didn't deploy!......updated 01/12/15
Tl* the contact owns a 2002 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that during a routine inspection, a hole was discovered in the floor pan due to a leak coming from the battery, which was located under the rear seat of the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure who stated that the vehicle was no longer under warranty and there were no recalls for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted who offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 27,450.
Window regulators have broken. All (every) (all 4) window regulators have broken without warning and required premature replacement. This was a hazard since security in bad neighborhoods was compromised multiple times, also was unable to keep criminals and rain out of car on multiple occasions causing damage to interior.
Was involved in a front end crash going 48mph and the drivers side air bag or any other air did not deploy. There was so much damage to the front end that the car was totaled a complete loss. I would like car to be inspected for faulty air bags and also front end for faulty equipment as did not hold up well with crash. This vehicle only had 78,000 miles and was in perfect condition prior to crash. I was told there was a recall on the airbags and with that much damage and speed they should of been deployed this is a major safety violation. I was driving east bound at 48 MPH car in front slammed on brakes I tried to avoid them and went to the right but there was a pole and another truck so I pulled back to left and it the car in the rear. At no time did the air bags deploy I would like an investigation started prior to car being totaled and removed by insurance company.
When I entered the car one day the dashboard had fallen without me knowing what had happened. I asked around to see if it was a way to fix it or if they had known anyone with the same problem. I use my vehicle to get back and forth to work and it's the only car I have but the condition of the car is getting worse and the dashboard is coming apart more.
The vehicle stalled intermittently. The brakes failed, and the vehicle was involved in two front end collisions. There was a funny noise in the engine at idle speed. The engine would lose power and stall. The service manager suggested that there were problems with the 2000-2004 model with this same problem. The front brake linings were worn, the dash pad was peeling at the leading edge near the defrost edge near the defrost grille due to delamination and the coin holder housing had come apart and split at the seam. The crankshaft position sensor was replaced.
Consumer was traveling on the highway and suddenley vehicle accelerated and took off in traffic, consumer had both feet on the brakes, the vehicle did not respond appropriately for brakes, vehicle was out of control. Consumer states that the drivers seat heater is inoperative, driver and passenger front seat belt buckles were out of position, and the passenger side plastic retainer was broke, while pulling into a parking space consumer lost all power steering, dealer replaced rack and pinion, engine is making a knocking noise, while accelerating vehicle started in third gear, which the gears seem to lock up internally, vehicle starts vibrating at approximately 50 MPH, the right center dash A/C vent closes by it self, the night vision lens is cracked and the console holder and latch broke.
