I have a remote start system on my truck, I remote start my truck. The truck was parked on a level surface, nose pointing in towards house. The driveway drops off into a slope, but the truck was on the flat surface area. We go outside to get in it, and it's gone. It's not in the driveway and it's no where to be seen. I look over towards the creek, nope not there. Look out front, there's my truck and it is backed up on half in the street half in then the front yard. It's sitting where our mailbox should be. It is running and side marker lights are lit. I go look, open the drivers door to see if anybody is in it, nope, not a soul. It's in park, the 4 wd lo alarm is beeping, the 4lo LED is lit on the dash, however, the switch/knob is still on the 2wd mode position. I press the brake pedal and the motor cuts off. So the remote start safety features were working properly. …

Started vehicle. Would not shift out of park. Released lock manually and drove to dealer (6 miles). They replaced fusible link and found ABS controller not working. I was told to drive home and they would call 4 days later on availability of used controller ($300 vs $1953). Brakes OK but no ABS. Had same thing happen August 31, 2014. Had the Tundra hauled to dealership. Tundra was at the dealership for a month waiting for replacement fusible link. Backordered - out of stock all the way to Japan. Toyota had to manufacture more. More than expected demand? Both times warning lights for brake, check engine, ABS, air bag were on. Turn signals and speedometer not working. Dealership told me they had no idea of the cause. Told them low voltage caused this to happen to another vehicle I have. Makes me wonder if there are being truthful with me and if other safety systems May be compromised.

Upon routine brake change/inspection uncovered that brake caliper mounting bolt was completely deteriorated (Toyota part number to47814-0c010) permitting the entire brake caliper to move freely around rotor. Dealership noted vehicle is not safe to drive in condition until repair could be made. Reporting this as significant issue given that it is determined unsafe by Toyota dealer, directly effects ability to stop, and is happened to a low mileage vehicle not driven hard. Half inch caliper pins should not deteriorate.....updated 01/13/16

C1336 code keeps coming up referring to "zero point" calibration, and ABS pump. Condition is present during all types of driving - city - highway - turning - backing. 7/29/09 driving on the freeway at 65 MPH transmission started shifting gear and MPH was moving from 60 to 80 up and back down. Applied emergency brake , shifted gear to neutral but no actions could stop the Toyota truck. My nephew and I jumped from the truck when I determined that it was slowing down and no cars were passing on the freeway. It came to a sudden stop 1/2 mile away from were we jumped. The engine had smoke coming out and it revving up and down. Towed it to dealer and they said no problem found and accused it was the floormats after their master tech looked at it. No repairs were made and they wanted to charge us for worn brakes and bent rotors which were cause by this event. In-disagreement we towed to another Toyota and they determined that the complaint regarding the sudden acceleration, worn brake pads, and bent rotors cannot be found. …
