The seat belt did not securely hold me in when the car behind me hit me, I was at a dead stop and was rear ended, the air bags also did not deploy, and my face hit the steering wheel. The force of the rear ending pushed me into the SUV in front of me, the car was totaled. I suffered a concussion, whip lash, wrist and elbow injury and lower back was hurt after the impact. I was wearing my seat belt thankfully otherwise I could have hit the wind shield.

After rear-ending a car at approximately 30mph, my seat belt released and air bags failed to deploy. My seat belt had been tightly locked in place otherwise it would have pulled back to "not in use" position. I could have been killed. I believe my car is unsafe in a serious accident.

Upon entering my vehicle I found that the driver's side seat belt was locked and unable to retract or be pulled forward. I contacted a local Toyota dealership, chicago northside Toyota, and made a service appt for that afternoon. Shortly before arriving at the dealership the seat belt suddenly unlocked and was movable again. Upon inspection, the service technician told me that there was fraying on the seat belt, and that was the cause for the inability for the seatbelt to retract or move. None of this fraying he referred to is visible to me, so I presume it is hidden inside the panel which covers the seat belt mechanism. I presume this was caused by an internal mechanism and I suspect is a design defect. …

One car accident. Front end shimmy LED to an uncontrollable spin in right lane of highway (62-63 MPH in a 65 zone, road dry, no sand, ice, water, oil), spun into left guardrail, bounced off and hit right side guardrail head on 45-60 MPH. Front/knee airbags did not deploy, seatbelt caught too late, leading to driver (only person in car) hitting head on steering wheel and knee on center console. Injuries include concussion, whiplash, right knee/hip pain/damage, headaches, backaches, dizziness, neck/back soreness, forgetfulness following accident (random short term memory loss). Car totaled (front end destroyed, other damage), problem reported to Toyota. Toyota rep appeared to be trying to blame driver on airbag/seatbelt failures but is sending investigator to check auto. Insurance company has inspected vehicle. Driver not ticketed by police (deemed not at fault for accident).

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry lxe. A driver decided to move into my lane from the left, to avoid a serious collision I had to swerve to the right and hit the brakes. My anti-lock brakes locked and I had no control over the car as we skidded across four lanes and hit a concrete wall. The air bags did not deploy and the seat belts (which were in use) did not lock us in. My wife hit the inside ceiling and the right window of the front door. I tried to find an attorney to go after Toyota but could not find one who had the guts to stand up to Toyota. There was over $14,500 in repairs and as of today they are still putting the car back together again.

While driving 2007 Toyota Camry, the car was pulling to the left. I tried to control the car. The steering wheel locked up, the car went out of control. Spinning and hitting the guard rail twice. The air bag didnt deployed, and the seat belt didnt hold or lock me into place while it was on. When the car came to a complete stop I turn the vehicle around from the on coming traffic, the brakes was giving out and the car was still steering to the left. I ended up in a ditch on the guard rail.
