The passenger seat airbag sensor does not sense an occupant and does not deactivate if the sensor is made. The car leaks water during rain storms profusely from drain lines connected to the body work under the headliner. The lines become disconnected at the joints due to poor design. Water leaks onto the seatbelts and curtain airbags. The floor behind the passenger seat becomes wet as well. In the past there was a recall for aftermarket seat upgrades in this car that were authorized by the manufacturer that cause this fault in the airbag sensor. The water leaking causes electrical malfunctions in the interior lighting on the headliner as well as it causes mold to grow in the carpet due to the water becoming stagnant. This particular car has many documented design faults that would cause water intrusion such as poor air conditioning drainage causes water to back up inside the car. …
I have a 2009 Pontiac G6 gxp 4 door sedan. My wife and I bought the car on March of this year 2017. When we purchased the car used. The car drove smooth even though it had 127,000 miles. The only thing we didn't check was the driver front seat. When I tried adjusting my seat upward the seat begins to lean side ways towards the middle console to the point its rubbing on it. I took it to the GM dealer they look at it and told me that the main metal bar frame is broken. That I needed a new replacement seat. They quoted me $1000. I contacted Pontiac and they refuse to address it. Because of the mileage on the vehicle. Please help me. I can't afford the $1000 for a new seat.
After finding movement in entering the vehicle last night and during my normal commute home I had discovered that the driver side seat frame has fractured and separated at the front interior weld of the cross member. This has resulted in a partially detached driver seat that shifts under weight and load movement. This separation also leads to significant question of the credibility and dependability of the vehicle, seat and safety restraint in the event of an accident, specifically anything beyond slow speeds. It's doubtful whether the seat will remain attached to the vehicle. I purchased this vehicle from my own family member who bought the vehicle new from the dealer and I know this vehicle has never been involved in an accident or collision. If this weld fails under normal use of the vehicle, how can a vehicle like this ever expect to perform safely in the event of an accident? …
My service air bag light is on. My passenger air bag doesn't work. My traction control, ESC, and ABS light come on. My panoramic sunroof wont close. All of these are on the recall list but apparently every car other than mine is bad. When I drive the ESC light will come on and pull me to the next lane. My passenger airbag is a safety concern for my passengers. I was on the freeway and my car went into the other lane and I almost hit a semi with my kids in the car. The car makes a loud whistle noise while driving, the car jerks to the left. The car makes loud noises in the front end like the car is gonna fall apart. Replaced the front end $1000.00 worth of work and still making the noise. Ate my brand new tires up. When steering wheel is started making a whining noise.. Checked power steering fluid, added power steering fluid & steering became stiff almost unturnable. About 40 miles later rechecked power steering fluid n it wasn't reading on the dipstick again. Then noticed something leaking under vehicle on the driver's side kinda close to wheel. Almost thinking the pump has a hole or something in it. I'm not for sure on that but will probably b bring it to a mechanic tomorrow to get it checked out.
I have had to get 3 new keys made for this car due to the security light coming on, sometimes it will not crank or start, so I have replaced the starter twice, have replaced relays and fuses, and the security light will come on while drive down the road and all gauges drop to zero, even the gas light says empty and every light on the dash comes on. But the car will still drive. But once you turn it off it will not start for a few hours! It's impossible to find parts for Pontiac anymore so everything has to be ordered! This should've been recalled a long time ago!
