I CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM WITH THIS CAR. You cannot use the review camera as the screen goes black or freezes. You cannot put the visor down as you will not be able to see out the windshield. If you go to push the gas the car stutters and sometimes shuts off completely. I bought my car brand new with 200 miles on it and after 6 months of driving it they told me my tires needed to be replaced because they were dangerous. After taking it into the dealership several times I was told that's just how the car is. The first chance I get I am trading this car and getting something else, and I will never purchase from them again. They have NO PRIDE in their cars at all and it will end up getting someone killed.

The first incident happened prior to knowing about the fuel pump recall. My 16 year old was driving home with other 3 younger children and the vehicle just stopped driving while they were on the interstate. Thankfully he handled the situation well and was able to coast to the shoulder safely. At only 16 and a new driver, things could have gone very badly. I never dreamed my children would be in such a dangerous situation in my brand new vehicle. The vehicle would not do anything. I could not even lock the doors. It had to be drug onto a wrecker truck because everything was locked up. It was this incident that I learned about the recall. We had no vehicle for 4 days but the problem was "fixed". Then a month later I was driving on the interstate and the vehicle just stopped driving again! It again completely locked up and nothing worked and had to be drug onto a wrecker. …
Upon idling this vehicle reeks of fresh fuel. It has been reported to the dealer and they have re-produced the problem. However, they do not know what is causing it. I am worried about the smell of gasoline in my car. I am worried about the car combusting and I am worried about respiratory problems or health issues that may result from the constant exposure of fuel or gasoline fumes . The dealer is reporting to me that corporate office has been notified and is working on a solution however, they do not tell me what the solution is or if they can even identify the problem. I am only told that I am on a waiting list for a repair, and that many people are complaining of this problem. Where I live in Yuma Arizona, the summers get to 114 , and while this may exacerbate the issue it is not the cause and the smell of raw gas can be noted Even in the winter months. …
Since May 2023, I've been to two different dealerships with the same issue. It started with a whistling sound form air vents, buring smell, increased has consumption, loss of power going up hill, gas smell inside cabin, no air, loud noise from right side of car under hood, and engine malfunction warning. Finally, 12/12/23 the car, without warning, instantly stalled, shut-off in traffic. Several vehicles behind me had to swerve to avoid rear end collision at it was it happened in front of a school with heavy traffic! The car would not restart and had to be towed to dealership. I contacted Mitsubishi corporate office in Aug/Sept, and was assigned Bernedette, who, constantly confused and incoherent, dismissed my complaints as dealerships wouldn't fix bc Mitsubishi wouldn't reimburse. She stated if there was no code, the car could NOT be fixed! …
While operating my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander, a strong raw gasoline odor began entering the passenger compartment through the HVAC vents. The odor is present while driving but becomes significantly stronger when the vehicle is stopped and idling. After the engine is turned off, the gasoline odor gradually improves. The condition has occurred repeatedly. I am concerned about occupants being exposed to gasoline vapors inside the passenger compartment and the potential safety risk associated with fuel vapors being present during normal vehicle operation. I contacted a Mitsubishi dealership regarding the problem. The dealer advised that the only open recall currently showing for the vehicle is an unrelated software recall. The fuel odor has not yet been diagnosed or repaired by the dealer. …
