What owners report
New vehicle purchased February 2026 with OEM Pirelli tires. Had puncture in tire, but on repair, tire found to have inside sidewall bubble. No history of any impacts or hard strikes to tires. Discount Tire said probable tire defect, unsafe to drive even a few miles, so placed spare and we took car to dealer. No extended warranty but less than 2400 miles on gently used tire. Hyundai denied coverage under Pirelli warranty for nearly new tire, stating that it was due to some kind of undetermined impact to tire (all other tires thus far okay), and we paid for a new replacement tire. But given the lack of history, I noted that their are numerous online complaints regarding this same tire on larger vehicles, including 10 complaints filed already to NHTSA. …
I had a flat tire. When I recently bought the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, I did not think to ask about a spare tire, they have been standard on every car I bought in the past. However, this car did not have one and I had a flat tire. They provide a sealant which is supposed to get you to a tire repair shop to get the tire fixed. That was worthless. Not having a spare is dangerous if you are caught with a flat tire in a remote area with no cell service. In addition, I had to pay $144 to get towed to a tire repair shop to get a $15 repair completed. Common sense has been replaced with greed.
I am reporting premature tire wear on OEM Goodyear Assurance 235/60R18 tires installed on my AWD 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL (VIN: [redacted] ). Component/System: OEM tires; documented and can be inspected at the dealership, which serves as a neutral, third-party verifier, or via submitted records. Safety risk: AWD vehicles require uniform tires; uneven tread risks drivetrain damage and unsafe handling, endangering myself and others. Confirmation: PA state inspection (11/17/2025) at 6,172 miles: Rear 3/32", Front 5/32". Dealer Delaney Hyundai (RO# 494892) documented the issue. Current mileage 7,074; tread wear ~1/32" per 881 miles, estimated current depth Rear 2/32", Front 4/32". Inspection: Documented by dealer and PA inspection; no manufacturer inspection yet. Warning symptoms: None beyond premature tread wear. …
Component: TIRES Tire Brand: Pirelli Model: Scorpion (255/45R20) Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Complaint Description: I have experienced two separate failures of the right rear Pirelli Scorpion 20" tire on my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy within a four week period. Both failures occurred during normal driving on paved roads with no significant impact event. The first failure was a loss of air due to a puncture in the sidewall area. I was able to use the on board sealant kit to sufficiently repair the tire and get it to Belle Tire. The tire was replaced as the damage was on the sidewall on May 5, 2026. On June 6, 2026 while driving on HWY 75 in Ohio, the replacement tire on the same right rear corner also failed, again losing air rapidly and causing us to pull over to the side of the highway. …
I bought the car back on September 2, 2024, and on October 3, 2024, we brought to shop but of a bubble we saw. 005PR-41205-00 Scorpion MA KS NCS EL 245/45R2. In April tire blew and end up on a spare tire. While using spare tire for around two weeks waiting on tire to get approved another tire blew which left me strained, so left car in Springfield MA. Next day towed the car to the dealership and after getting approved from the extended warranty company all 4 tires were replaced. After this a complaint under lemon law to buy this car back do to 5 tires were replace having the car 6 months. While in the shop it was indicated Front Driver side and Rear Driver Side has Side Bubble. Right passage front tire is believed to have caused a accident on 09/16/25 to having car deemed totaled. 4 tirers - 005PR-41205-00 Scorpion MA KS NCS EL 245/45R2.
The failure occurred in the sidewalls of the two factory supplied all season tires on the passenger side (front and rear) of my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. Both tires exhibit pronounced bulges on the outer sidewall of the front passenger tire. Tire size is 255/45 R20 105V M+S The rear OEM tire was replaced on February 10, 2025 and front OEM tire (with DOT codes visible) remain mounted on the vehicle, but I must replace it to keep the vehicle operational. I noticed the bulging of the second tire today, July 29, 2025. Sidewall bulges indicate internal cord separation. A sudden loss of air pressure or blowout-especially at highway speeds-could result in rapid vehicle instability, loss of control, and a potentially serious crash, endangering occupants and other road users. No, the problem has yet to be inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or others. …
I purchased my 2023 Santa Fe brand new off the show room floor in Jan 2024. After about 6k miles when braking on the highway the entire vehicle would shudder and shake including the steering wheel. I took it into the dealership where I was informed this is a KNOWN ISSUE with this year/make/model with the rotors. They claimed they would turn the rotors but if the issue persists they would replace them. About 2k miles later (apx 2 months) the shuddering happened AGAIN. So I made an apt to get them replaced where the new service tech tried to tell me again this is a KNOWN ISSUE but now I would be responsible for a $250 replacement of the rotors. I refused to pay as they are within the 12k or 1 year warranty and they refused to replace them. That service tech also said the day prior he had to deliver that news to 4 OTHER patrons about the replacement of their rotors. …
I have been fighting this issue now for 2 years, vibration while driving interstate speeds, especially right rear seat. I have had tires replaced twice trying to fix balance issue only to find out that one rim will not road force balance correctly, even with tire matched it only reduced road force balance to 20lbs (30lbs with out match). I have had it at discount tire and Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood ranch, FL several times. Hyundai sent a senior tech to look at tires, did not speak to me to get explanation of my concern, did a balance, got same numbers and said was good to go. My other 3 rims have a max road force of 12lbs without even being matched. This causes vibrations when driving, extra wear and force on the tire and is a safety concern. This rim is the issue and Hyundai refuses to fix it.
