I believe something is wrong with the electrical system tied into the infotainment system of the car, which displays the radio, heating, cooling, shows the rear camera controllers, as well as some fo the lighting in the sport L is not fully lit, for example where the shift gears is there a light that goes across the front, mines if red, only 1 side is actively turninig on, but the other side is off, at time the display become unresponsive, meaning no matter what I select nothing is displayed I only get the main screen that shows the FM/AM, CAR PLAY, Andriod Auto, Setting etc, when this happens and when the screen flickers the radio does not turn on, no sound is heard, I can turn on/off the ac, but can control where the air flows, or changing some basic settings, at times the rear camera will not work as well. …

"The vehicle is experiencing an intermittent, loud popping/crackling noise coming from the speakers and infotainment system. This is a known symptom of a failure in the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) bus network, specifically related to defective FAKRA connectors and coaxial cabling. This issue was previously the subject of NHTSA Recall #23V-431 for 2018-2023 models, but the defect persists in this 2024 model." Safety Risk: "When the MOST bus network loses connection for more than 20 seconds, the infotainment screen freezes or goes black, causing a total failure of the rearview (backup) camera image. This failure occurs unpredictably while the vehicle is in reverse, significantly increasing the risk of a back-over accident or collision. …

The speakers make a popping and crackling noise that is repeated, in a mid tone - high tone - low tone noise pattern, when the radio is on or off. It begins when the engine is turned on. It also occurs in standby/engine is not on/radio is on mode or in standby/engine is not on/radio is not on. The popping/crackling occurs whether the radio is on or not, and the radio can be heard along with the popping and crackling noise. I am guessing it is similar to the recall 23V-431, but this van VIN number does not have any recalls associated with it yet. Restarting the radio, resetting the radio, etc does not alleviate the issue. Also, the cabin camera is not working, says "problem with camera" and displays "loading" with the moving circular icon. The display remains dark for the cabin camera, and rear entertainment screen is also not accessible. …

My 2024 Honda Odyssey Elite has had two recent incidents of car going into idle and won't start up. The more serious one happened while I was stopped waiting to make a left turn. The Auto Idle Stop system shut the engine off when I was waiting on. Y left turn engine did not restart. I was stuck in the roadway for about two minutes before I was able to start the vehicle again. The red battery warning light was on while the engine would not restart. A few days prior during a trip from [redacted] to [redacted] the vehicle also would not start after I had been sitting with the engine off and accessories running at a gas station. After turning off the A/C fan, rear entertainment system, and unplugging my phone, the vehicle eventually started. I took the vehicle to a Honda dealer (Honda of [redacted]) They inspected it but said they could not reproduce the problem, so no repair was made. …

The Start/Stop function on the Honda Odyssey failed to re-start the vehicle after it was stopped at a traffic signal. The vehicle gave no advance notice of the issue. The vehicle defaulted the transmission into the "Park" position, however the electronics (radio, windows, etc.) all operated as normal. Simply pushing the ignition "On/Off" would do nothing and would NOT turn off the electronics. I had to press and hold the "On/Off" ( similar to a Ctl+Alt+"Delete") to hard shut off the vehicle entirely. I then had to place the key fob physically on the "On/Off" button to restart the vehicle. This is a significant safety concern being at a dead stop at a stoplight that may be green. We have had our van to the Honda dealer twice now within 3 weeks for the same issue. They cannot get it to duplicate any issues. The original diagnosis was that we had a loose ground connection at the battery. …

Since purchasing my 2024 Odyssey EX-L I have experienced on multiple occasions where the idle stop engages but upon releasing the brake the vehicle fails to restart, dash lights up and vehicle is shifted automatically into park while sitting in traffic and vehicles moving all around me as well as honking as I am unable to restart the vehicle immediately. I have to push the start button multiple times before the vehicle will restart. Dealership is unable to replicate issue so I just started turning it off. Now the idle stop/start doesn't engage at all even after driving for hours. Additionally the vehicle is very slow to start especially if I have had to start the vehicle a different times throughout the day. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and they diagnosed it with a bad starter at only 38K miles which is of course out of warranty. …

2015 Honda Odyssey with approx 34000 miles. During auto stop/start events the van intermittently would not restart. This issue was worse during warm weather and occured throughout the summer of 2025. It was also noticed that the van sometimes would experience hard starts when restarting soon after a drive. It appeared to be a heat soak issue with the starter and the starter could not turn over the engine. There were no service lights present during this issue. After it failed to start, you would need to turn the ignition off then back on to attempt to restart. Service was performed at Performance Honda in Fairfield Ohio on 11/21/2025, and although the van passed all tests in regards to battery and starter. Initially the van was not going to be repaired/covered, but the van happened failed to start while in the service bay. The starter assembly was replaced under warranty on 11/25/2025. …
