The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving uphill at 10 MPH, the "Brake Issue, contact dealer" "Brakes Needs Servicing," warning message illuminated. The vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. The contact injured their head on the steering wheel. The contact also received bruises to their neck and knees that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was able to be driven the short distance home. The contact then stated that they later had the vehicle towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery had failed, however, they did not provide a diagnosis for the brake failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,024.
This is the third time this vehicle has experienced wheel lock-up during braking. The first occurrence was over three months ago, while one driver was driving alone. The second occurrence was about one month ago, with a different driver, and a passenger was present who also witnessed the wheels locking; no collision resulted those two times. Both involved the wheels locking during braking and a loss of steering control. On the third occurrence, on June 25, while driving on the freeway, the vehicle ahead braked suddenly. The driver applied the brakes and they initially responded, allowing the driver to slow and avoid hitting the vehicle in front. Immediately afterward, the wheels locked up and the driver lost the ability to steer or maneuver. The anti-lock braking system did not prevent the wheels from locking. …
Driving a Honda 2024 crv hybrid ,I was pulling into a front row parking spot and braking and as the car just about was going to stop it surged forward turning in the direction I had just pulled in from and accelerated instead of continuing to brake . I kept my foot on the brake hoping it was stopping , but continued to accelerate running over a sign, then a light post and then through the plate glass frame of the building . Finally coming to rest as it fully entered the building . The vehicle then emitted some smoke from underneath and the building was evacuated. Fortunately no one was in the room at the time the car came through. No injuries thank goodness . No warning signals or any assistive braking was in play . Just my foot on the brake from the time I entered the parking spot . …
* Manual and automatic break - both failed. Yes, it is available for inspection. * It was a collision between 2 cars. Our car break got jammed ,it hit other car. * We visited Envision Honda of Milpitas - Honda dealers. For Multi-Point inspection after incident. I have attached the report. The problem was not reproduced by them, but we faced the issue of break getting jammed and automatic break system not working. I am scared of driving my car in future. * Yes, the vehicle is inspected by Honda dealers and Geico insurance. They are not accepting intermitted break system failure. * There were no warning lamps or messages. Just break stopped working. We were driving in snow mode in Honda CRV. It was snowy road. We were going downhill. And the manual and automatic , both break system failed at the same time * The Honda Dealers didn't share EDR (event data recorder) data to us. …
Braking occurs absolutely randomly. This happened about 6-7 times starting from about 5500 miles, at absolutely different speeds. I slow down to reduce speed, then the system starts warning with a BRAKE signal and after that suddenly stops, to a complete stop, although this is absolutely not necessary, because the front car is very far. I was hit in the bumper once. I have a video of how it did it on the highway. The last time got into the accident with the car, as the hit didn't make any damage to the car, did not report to police, took the car to dealership, but was advised to change the setting, but it did not change anything still the random braking exist.
I was pulling into my son's driveway to park, and my vehicle did not stop when using the brakes. I struck the rear of his vehicle parked in the driveway. When put in reverse, my vehicle would not stop when using the brakes. My vehicle crossed the street, hit a tree, and eventually stopped when it hit a house. A video of the incident was caught on my son's ring door camera. I will submit screen shots of the video since the ability to submit a video is not an option.
I was pulling into a parking space at church. I had my foot lightly on the brake as the idle speed was sufficient to enter the parking space. When I pressed on the brake to stop the car completely the brakes failed and the car lurched forward about 10 ft and hit the church building damaging my front left bumper, buckling the hood and components behind the bumper.
I am reporting multiple factory defects on my 2024 Honda CR-V, led by a severe, confirmed steering safety defect commonly known as 'sticky steering' where the steering wheel sticks/notches while driving and requires excessive force to correct, causing dangerous lane swerving. The authorized Honda dealership confirmed the steering gearbox has failed and requires replacement but the necessary parts are backordered indefinitely, forcing me to leave the unsafe vehicle at the dealership. Furthermore, the vehicle suffers from two additional major unresolved warranty issues recorded under the same Repair Order: a defective door weather stripping seal that has peeled off and detached from the door frame, compromising cabin weather sealing, and a strong, musty mold odor emitted from the AC system on low fan speeds that poses an air quality and health concern for occupants. …
I have experienced this 2 times once in late august early September of this year 2026 and on [redacted] I was making a left turn onto a street in Long Beach, CA in-between [redacted]. I was going under 25 miles and did not have cruise control or the driver assist for lane steering on and as soon as I started to make a left the vehicle abruptly stopped causing the upper half of my body to jerk forward hurting my lower back again and now I have slight headaches waking up in the morning again since then. Its like the vehicle sensed there was a vehicle in front of me, parked cars on the street or passing by me going in the opposite direction, and the automatic break came on as if I was going to be in a collision which I wasn't. Again, I didn't use the steering assistance in the vehicle, because I stopped using it after the first incident occurred. …
Driver of the vehicle was traveling about 50 miles per hour, Multiple warning notices appeared on the dashboard ranging from Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System problem, All Wheel Drive System Problem, Electronic Power Steering Problem, Electric Parking Brake System Problem, Brake System Problem, etc., approximately 16 error messages. The front end wobbled, Brakes were mushy, Steering was difficult as if the power steering ceased working. Was able to safely pull off the road. Vehicle was towed to dealer for diagnosis and repair. Dealer pulled codes from the ODB port and it displayed multiple warnings. See attached list of codes from the Dealer Dealer checked multiple systems but was unable to diagnose the cause. Dealer re-set the codes and sent the car home. …
