With only less than 800 miles on the car, my 2019 Honda Accord vsa modulator (which was diagnosed by the dealership) failed. I felt the car begin to bog on the highway right before we were on the exit. Then, the gas pedal stopped working properly and the car lost speed. I would press hard on the gas pedal and the car would take about 3 seconds before it started to move forward, jerking in the direction I intended it to go. After struggling a little while, I luckily pulled over and called a tow truck to send my car to the dealership. I felt that I was very lucky to be able to safely pull over. 1st, it happened during an early Sunday morning with heavy rain, so there was not much traffic. 2nd, the event occurred right before we were going to exit the highway with only a few hundreds of feet to go. Also, it's in my hometown and I know the road very well. …
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle began to brake independently. The contact stated that the hill start assist failure, traction control, ACC, brakes, stability control, Collision mitigation, and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the EZ Pass sensor, the battery, and e-brake switch needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer three times. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
During stop and go traffic, car braked causing the person behind me to rear-end me. This had happened one other time before, luckily the car behind me wasn't following too closely and I was going less than 30mph. A couple weeks after that while going highway speeds and wet road conditions, a warning light came on stating there was a problem with the collision mitigation braking system and to see dealer. Once that warning comes on cruise control also disengages. This warning light has come on one other time, while driving highway speeds with dry road conditions. If the car is restarted the warning resets and all systems are up and functioning again.
My Honda Accord 2017 4 cyn all of dash board lights lit up, the steering wheel partially locked while I was driving going 55 MPH. I pulled over and couldn't cut the car off with my start button. After about 5 minutes I was able to finally cut it cut off. Then it would not start at all. Then after another 5 minutes it started and I went straight to the car dealership January 2019. About seven months earlier, my car would start at all. I went to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. They told me only thing it might be was the battery, I bought a battery and my car was only 11 months old. Recently, February 2019, now my battery is 7 months old, my car wouldn't start again. They can't find anything wrong with my car, but I am having issues. …
After it rained, was driving on highway when suddenly series of errors/problem messages came up on my dashboard. Incl, emissions controls system problem, tire pressure sys prob, avoidance collision sys prob, collision mitigation sys prob, power steering sys prob, etc. Made calls immediately to Honda contacts and got off the freeway. It happened as the maintenance dept's at Honda were closing for the weekend. Except for the messages the car seemed to be driving okay. Still drove slowly to get groceries so I would not have to go back out. As I started the car again, the power steering failed to work; I could not turn the wheel. Triple a thought the problem was due to wetness getting into the computer system. When I started the car with him present, power steering started working again. So, I drove it home again very slowly. …
While traveling in New York City, several warning lights illuminated on the dashboard of my 2016 Honda Accord, including a red light for the brakes. Upon returning home, my local dealer diagnosed the problem and determined that the vehicle stability assist (VSA) module failed and needed to be replaced. I prepaid for the part; however, the dealer advised that the VSA module is on backorder and will not be available until November 5, 2023. I feel that the delay of a critical brake component affects my safety and the safety of other motorists. Therefore, I requests assistance with the immediate repair of the vehicle or alternate transportation until repairs are completed.
I was driving on 35-38 MPH in a 35mph zone. The road was curving in the form of a c and my tires started to skid. Once I applied brakes and I couldn't feel anything braking and once again applied, the car turned 90 degree, straightened out on the road but not completely meaning the car was still going forward in the direction on the road but a 30 degree angle. I couldn't control steering or brakes and hit a fire hydrant at the end. I asked the insurance company to contact Honda for details know the different control units and reading but they didn't want to go that route. Now my insurance rate is up and I have 2 points since the cops didn't believe it could have been the cars fault.
