The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the contact became aware of a spare tire in the middle of the roadway. While attempting to avoid driving over the tire, the contact swerved and was struck by the vehicle on the driver's side of the vehicle. The driver's side seat air bag failed to deploy properly. The contact stated that there were holes in the air bag. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road and call 911. The contact was later told that no emergency service was available. The contact was informed to drive to the residence. There was no medical treatment at the scene however, the contact did see a doctor for pain in their upper left arm and left hip, and side. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated while his daughter was driving at 10 MPH and distracted, she crashed into a lamppost on the front driver's side of the vehicle. The air bags deployed. During the impact, the driver's seat belt failed to retract and secure the driver. No warning lights were illuminated. There was cosmetic damage but it was not severe due to the collision being minor and at low speeds. The vehicle was towed to an auto shop and the mechanic did not provide a diagnosis however, the mechanic informed the contact that the part to do the repair was unavailable. No police report was filed and no injuries were reported. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
This vehicle was involved in an accident. The car crashed into a concrete barrier separating the interstate highway. The front passenger airbag appeared to only partly deploy, and the driver air bag did not deploy.
I was driving straight on the freeway maintaining the speed limit when the driver side side curtain airbag and driver side seat airbag spontaneously deployed. Due to the loud noise and not expecting this to happen I was in complete shock but was able to safely move the car off the freeway with very obstructed vision due to the airbag being deployed. I lost temporary hearing in my left ear due to the loud explosive sound as well as it hitting me in the head. If it had been rush hour traffic this could have easily resulted in an accident killing myself as well as others on the road. The car was taken to a Honda dealership where it was inspected and a diagnostic test was done. There was no indication that the airbag should have deployed per the diagnostic test which concluded that no collision was suspected or detected thus deeming it as a result of a faulty sensor. …
I have a 2017 Honda accord, just a little over 5 years old and 73K miles. It has never been in a car accident and I bought it new from the dealer. Last month I started to have lights that showed my lane assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, and road departure mitigation system were not functioning. I took my car to the dealer and was initially told that it was an SRS unit failure. Later, they changed and said the SRS unit is fine but the camera is damaged. Honda is considering this normal wear/tear and will not cover this repair even though the car has never been in an accident. The car will not pass inspection unless this is fixed. The airbags will not deploy until this is fixed and the car is therefore dangerous to drive. The camera is on back order and it will be at least a month before it can be repaired.
On the passenger side the seat burst and the airbag curtain deployed. It is available for inspection upon request. This happened at [redacted] while dark. This has not been reproduced, but it has been confirmed by the Honda Service station. The car was inspected at Brannon Honda in Birmingham Al. There was no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.
I received an indication on my dash that there was an issue with the SRS system. I took the vehicle to a certified Honda dealership for diagnostic treatment and it was determined that the wires on the passenger seat had been rubbing on the track that the seat slides on and consequently tore the SRS wires near the passenger seat belt causing a failure in the restraint system.
A red passenger airbag indicator appears sometimes on my dashboard. I took it to the dealership, and they said it is a airbag in the car seat that is sending an alert. The alert only occurs when a passenger is in the car in that seat, however, even then it does not always appear
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. While the contact was proceeding through an intersection, another vehicle failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The contact lost consciousness and awoke to find that the seat belt did not properly restrain her, which resulted in injuries to the neck, head, and shoulders. Medical attention was received. The vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.
