What owners report

The steering cable is connected to the transmission hub, and the fitting that connects the two has a gasket that wears away and falls out. This is a recall with vehicles that are made from one of the two plants that assemble fusions, however my vehicle is not covered under the recall even though it is the very same issue as the recall from the other plant. it makes no sense, why is one assembly plant offering a recall for this issue while the other does not? For the same issue of the steering cable coming off the transmission, and not allowing the vehicle to go into gear. I have had to fix this car on the side of the highway before, it will not go into gear on the road. This is not safe at all. You cannot have vehicles just not going into gear while your driving down the highway, or road, street, etc.

Tire Pressure Monitor System Warning Action Now Issue Since 09-22-2024 The tire pressure monitoring system has detected one or more tires are significantly under-inflated. Suggested Actions: Check the tire pressure to ensure the tires are properly inflated. WARNING: The tire pressure monitoring system is NOT a substitute for manually checking tire pressure. The tire pressure should be checked periodically (at least monthly) using a tire gauge. See Inflating Your Tires in the Wheels and Tires chapter of your Owner's Guide. Failure to properly maintain your tire pressure could increase the risk of tire failure, loss of control, vehicle rollover and personal injury.

This has happened multiple times now. Always happens at high speeds (greater than 45 mph). I will be driving on a highway when I unexpectedly lose the ability to accelerate. First noticed in correlation with the collision detection feature showing on the display as NOT FUNCTIONING. That does not happen anymore, but I still lose the ability to accelerate periodically. Once I can safely remove myself from the flow of traffic and stop/restart my car the issue is resolved. Makes me believe this is electrical/computer origin. The vehicle was taken to the dealership twice where they claim "cannot duplicate" but are willing to replace any item that I will pay for out of pocket. The dealership does not want to honor my extended warranty. The vehicle was purchased new in 2019. …

I have a 2019 ford fusion turbo engine and everytime I accelerate the turbo is wicking into the pcm the control module which is causing hazards sucking as at random times whenever I turn left the steering wheel with get stuck and the brakes will lock for a couple seconds and then go back to normal. I had Meineke do a diagnostic on the car and they showed oil in the pcm aswell as the loss of connection between the pcm and its sensors. They drove the car and while driving the car going 20mph the car is reading as going 100

I heard fluid from what seemed like my dashboard and a puff of white smoke, no sensors came on. My Ford fusion continued but ran rough. I was pulling out of a parking lot onto the street and my Ford fusion was nearly t-boned because it would not accelerate. Later that day my overheat sensor came on and my fusion left me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with a baby in 100 degree heat. I called a local mechanic, he put water in it and drove it to his shop. After 400 dollars worth of work the problem persistent, he then checked it for the notorious coolant intrusion issue and confirmed a misfire and coolant intrusion in cylinder 2. It's now parked and has not been driven in 3 months.

2 separate dealerships made me pay to replace faulty tires when the new ones blew out within less than a month of purchase. They also pocketed the mail in rebates I was promised for buying new sets of tires from their locations. I started taking my car to an independent garage for regular maintenance. My traction control light has been on since shortly after I bought the car in 2018 but I never imagined I'd be spending my entire savings on repairs immediately after the useless warranty expired. First it was a cracked flex plate which I'm lucky happened when I was driving on a side road as opposed to the interstate. I was going roughly 55mph when I lost my ability to steer, accelerate, or even cut power to the ignition. My car has been towed 4 times with total cost of almost 10K and it still isn't fixed. I reported everything to Ford they don't stand by anything Ford manufactures. …

Accel Pedal Interference - Acc Floormat

NHTSA investigation PE10019 · opened May 28, 2010 · closed Jan 11, 2013

Unsecured mats may interfere with accelerator pedal return to idle. A heel blocker in the floor pan provides a platform that may lift an unsecured mat into contact with the pedal. Ford introduced new pedals as a running change early in model year (MY) 2010 vehicles. Analysis of complaints received by ODI and Ford show elevated rates of pedal entrapment incidents in MY 2008 through early 2010 production vehicles.
