Right rear door electric door actuator jammed and door could not be open. Had to remove a three year old child from the right door side, removed inter door panel and al rear seat components, still could not release door latch which was jammed in the locked position. Took vehicle to lb smith Ford lemoyne, pa . They had it for six days. They had to break the door lock actuator apart, which I have the old actuator and cable assembly. They had to order parts which they did not stock. They replaced door latch/lock actuator assy. And inner door handle cable. Total cost was $247.06 parts and $232.50 labor. My problem is that this is a safety issue since we transport young children. In an emergency how does some one get the doors open. Jaws of life?no signs of failure before this. Just failed picking up the children and not being able to open the right rear door.
My 2007 Ford Fusion was purchased in 2011 and was financed, and I paid it off in December 2017. It since then only it has a 144,00 miles. It was purchased with lower mileage, of an estimation of 40,000 to 50,000 miles on it at final sale meaning it was a 2007 car, purchased in 2011, so that's a problem when before it had been paid off, and major problems of many. I would like a refund of a lesser equal to or equal value to my purchased car price from manufacture or dealership. The two recalls issued that I have not taken care of yet, and other problems with cheap made inside door handles broke easily, being hard plastic/metal, this makes getting out of my vehicle a major safety issues along with the other issues of airbags and brakes and other safety issues.

2007 Ford Fusion se - safety issue!! Interior door latch problem (driver' door) I cannot get out of my Ford Fusion without rolling down the window and opening the door from the outside. **this is a safety concern!!** I have read several online Ford Fusion forums and found there are many many other people who are experiencing the exact same problem with their Ford Fusion. You please issue a 'recall' on the interior door latches of the 2007 Ford Fusion se*** this is indeed a safety concern, especially if someone must get out of the car quickly. Thank you. Vehicle identification number: [redacted] mileage: 50400
Without warning or any known cause, the driver side door lock mechanism is jammed, thus preventing me from exiting the vehicle. I have to take down the electronic window on that door, and pull the handle from the outside. This is a serious safety issue that prevents me from immediately getting out if the car in case of emergency, especially when I'm carrying my 10-year-old daughter to and from school or extracurricular activities. I have checked online, and this seems to be a common complaint for owners of the Ford Fusion se 2007. There definitely needs to be a recall. This just happened out of the blue. Please assist. It is not fair that Ford customers should have to pay for something we did not cause. Thank you.
