I was Getting on I-95 N from Benson, NC with speed limit of 70mph. While I was still accelerating and just merged in traffic, going about 65-70mph, my 2014 F250 started doing the death wobble. The section of highway I was on has no shoulder or anywhere to pull off because they are doing construction on the shoulder and have concrete blocks maybe 6inches past the line. So I had no choice but to put on my brakes hard and slow down until the shaking stopped, which was bout 15-20mph. I'm very lucky I wasn't rear ended or in an accident because of the death wobble. My 12 week old baby girl was also with me in the truck at the time
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Ford f-250. The contact stated that the vehicle had a bent frame, which resulted in a shake in the steering wheel. The failure was noticeable upon starting the vehicle at speeds approximately 65 MPH. In addition, the vehicle veered independently when it struck a bump. The vehicle also had a bent frame. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the bent frame resulted in failure with the steering. The vehicle had alignments, the tire was replaced, and the steering stabilized; however, the failure recurred. The technician also diagnosed that the bent frame was acceptable and did not need to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. The VIN was not provided.
Vehicle has always vibrated at highway speeds. This last weekend it started shaking so violently that even the phone mount on the windshield came off, forcing me to pull over on i75. After checking tires and tire pressure got back on the road, vibration came back but not as severe. Have had the tires checked for alignment and balance, no issues there. Seems to only be a problem at 60 MPH+

I purchased this truck new in 2013 and it has only been serviced by Ford, except for an Air Lift Suspension Kit install to allow load leveling when towing. Low miles: 54484 actual. No collision damage, original paint. Date of repair:06/25/2025. Jenkins Ford RO#[redacted]. My truck has a Supercab (Extended Cab) with short rear doors that open to the rear. Both of these rear doors failed within 5 minutes of each other. Specifically, the inside door handles and opening levers on the forward facing side of the doors failed. This is absolutely a safety hazard because a Child, Senior, Handicapped person, pet, etc., would be trapped from making an emergency exit in case of accident or fire. A more athletic person may be able to pull themselves over the from bench seat to exit, but still delaying the exit and dangerous. There were no warnings to alert anyone of the failures. …
The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while making a turn in either direction, there was an abnormal crunching sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the sound was caused by a misalignment between the cab and the bed of the truck. Due to the failure the cab mount bushings became worn and needed to be replaced or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact was provided a case number and was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
