The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact smelled a fuel odor. The Mobile App indicated that the VIN was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and a software update was performed related to the recall, but the dealer confirmed that parts were still not yet available. The dealer also informed the contact that metal shavings were found in the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the muffler had failed and needed to be replaced. The engine and muffler were repaired. …
On [redacted], my 2024 Ford Bronco Sport spontaneously burst into flames while driven by my [redacted] son. Per a local bystander, there was smoke and fire observed around the undercarriage as he drove down the road. Multiple vehicles began honking while stopped at a red light. A driver alerted my son of the fire. He was able to evacuate along with his [redacted] sister. As they were fleeing to the median of an active highway, the vehicle burst into flames. After several explosions the vehicle continued to burn and melt until the fire dept extinguished the flames. Prior to spontaneous combustion, there were no symptoms of gas leaks or error messages. Nor were there any fluid leaks. There were no error messages or signs of vehicle distress even while my children were driving & engulfed in flames. …
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost drive power and failed to accelerate properly. The App notified the driver of the powertrain failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with powertrain failure. The dealer replaced the knock sensor approximately 5 - 6 times but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer, Ed Morse Ford Sierra Vista (100 AZ-90, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635); to be diagnosed, and the knock sensor was replaced. The second dealer had also replaced the engine twice, but the failure reoccurred while driving approximately 70 MPH, and the vehicle was coasted to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a third dealer, Jim Click Ford (6244 E 22nd St Tuscan AZ 85711). …
Upon attempting to start vehicle every warning indicator flashed in series across the screen and the SUV would not start nor was the vehicle lockable. Also, the rear door and access glass (where tools, safety equipment, and spare tire is located) could not be opened. The vehicle would not start and could not be placed in neutral to push the vehicle to a safe location. The manufacturer informed me a "failure to communicate" was indicated in their system. Had this occurred in an unsafe location such as on a highway or in a physically dangerous location occupants would be placed in danger from other moving vehicles and/or criminal activity. Operators of this model MUST 1.) Be able to place the vehicle in neutral when needed. 2.) Be able to manually open the rear liftgate and/or rear glass to obtain safety and repair equipment. …
My 2024 Ford Bronco Sport has had an open unrepaired safety recall (Ford 25S76 / NHTSA 25V467) for about 10 months. The recall states that a fuel injector may crack and create an under-hood fire risk. There is still no repair remedy available. Ford and the dealership have stated that they are trying to develop a solution until June 2026. This effectively means I am being told to continue driving a vehicle with a known fire risk for an unknown extended period of time. For the past 10 months, I have been driving this vehicle in fear. I use it every day to take my children to school, transport my family, and handle family responsibilities. I cannot afford to purchase another vehicle because I invested most of my money into this one. The dealership has not provided me with a clear solution or completed any repair related to this recall. …
Unresolved/unrepairable safety recall Engine RPM's revving abnormally high without corresponding acceleration; extremely slow and delayed acceleration. Sudden and unexpected jolts or surge of power following periods of inadequate acceleration. Significant difficulty safely accelerating and merging onto a freeway. Loss or lack of expected power when accelerating. Rattling and vibrating at the front of the vehicle when it is hot outside or car is hot. Inaccurate fuel gauge at times when hot All concerns above have been discussed and worked on by Walnut Creek Ford Service Center, California. I was told that the recall remedy is not ready, to drive the car in Sport Mode and that they lowered power in the fuel area. The safety recall concerns me due to the risk of fire and the lack of acceleration is definitely a hazard on the road. …
I purchased a new 2024 Ford Bronco Sport on [redacted] from Sayville Ford in [redacted]. They failed to disclose an unremedied safety recall (24V-267) on the vehicle that was issued on [redacted] and still sold me the vehicle. When I went back to them after seeing that there was a recall on the car, they denied the existence of the recall despite me showing them the recall notice on both the NHTSA and Ford websites. Last year there was another safety recall for leaking fuel injectors (25V-467) that I brought my car in for service, and they claimed to have done a software fix. Upon checking the recall checked on the NHTSA website (6 months after service) it lists that the safety recall work was never performed, despite the dealership keeping my car for the entire day and telling me the work was performed. …
This vehicle was sold to me by Front Royal Ford on August 16, 2025 with an UNDISCLOSED active safety recall. This vehicle recall still shows as active and the car remains in an "unsold" status within the Ford system, since they legally were not permitted to sell me the vehicle. I only discovered this after the car's engine light went off in September 2025, and a dealership in Indiana refused to initially do any work on it, stating it wasn't under warranty. The first repair was on September 25, 2025 and the repair was stated as a loose wire, the second repair to replace an actuator was on December 16, 2025, and it's presently undergoing a third repair for an engine misfire that occured on May 17, 2026. At this point, the repairs all related to the engine qualify for the lemon law and the car was never supposed to be sold with an open safety recall.
January 10, 2026. My battery abruptly stalled. It was charged drove a few feet in the car just stopped. The car was towed, and the battery was deemed faulty and needed replacement. May 10. The engine coolant light came on. The car would turn on and then abruptly stalled. Mid traffic. The car again was towed and it was deemed had a faulty coolant pump. I asked for the fuel injection system to be looked at and they said my card does not have a Vin recall. These two prior issues established the fact that something is wrong with my vehicle and should have been included in the main Ford recall. I would like my VIN number added for the safety of my car and to be able to get the updates necessary for the fuel injection cracks that occur in this year bronco. The dealership is refusing to do this.
I reached out to ford due to my 2024 bronco sport overheating and running hot. During the time of that complaint I was advised that my bronco currently has a recall that the fuel tank needs to be replaced but it is currently being deemed as non safety and will only be addressed if the vehicle is in for service. I was also advised that due to this recall it is currently a part of fords customer satisfaction program. Anything fuel related should be deemed as a safety recall considering fuel is a flammable chemical. I have requested a buy back as I no longer feel safe operating the vehicle or comfortable transporting my daughter in the vehicle as it aligns too closely with the known fuel safety recall currently present on some 2021-2024 bronco sports.
