My Cadillac converter is going bad. I only had my truck for 3yrs now. Also the steering and suspension diag/power steering system flush. Can I get a feed back to what shall I do or what can be done. Feel free and contact me at [redacted] mobile number. Email [redacted] Thank you [redacted]
Severe shaking at 60mph and above. Numerous attempts to correct the issue through dealership, private mechanics with balancing and high speed balancing did not correct the issue. It was determined through several mechanics that the ABS Module is no longer working and could contribute to the shaking of the vehicle. The dealership advised the manufacturer does not make these parts anymore. I tried purchasing a rebuilt ABS and it did not work as it was not compatible with my VIN. This is the second Dodge Journey I have owned and both have had the shaking issue. My automatic braking system and cruise control will no longer work as a result of the ABS failure, which makes this very dangerous to drive. I only have around 90,000 miles on this car and planned to keep it long term, but finding that I cannot get parts. I have also always had many problems with the fuel system. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Dodge Journey. While driving approximately between 62-74 MPH, the vehicle shook and a loud noise was heard underneath the vehicle. Also, while driving, the vehicle's rear end tended to sway towards the right. The contact stated that the vehicle's driver's seat failed to lock in the desired position. The contact took the vehicle to direct Chrysler Dodge (located at 495 w lee hwy, wytheville, va 24382, [phone]) where a front and rear wheel alignment was performed. Tl* the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle had not experienced a failure until it was repaired by crown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram greensboro (3710 w wendover ave, greensboro, nc 27407, [phone]). The dealer indicated that they made a provision of servicing the vehicle for a manufacturer service campaign regarding the suspension, and they replaced the lower control arm. The repair failed to provide a solution; therefore, the dealer stated that the steering boot May be faulty. The contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the front driver side wheel and the suspension was very unstable when driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer more than three, but no remedy was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
We were driving the car when steering suddenly became almost impossible. It was frightening and dangerous. We were finally able to muscle the car to the side of the road, dodging traffic all the way, and stop. We took it to the shop and were informed the rack and pinion steering had gone out. We took the car to the shop and the mechanic told us what had happened. The repair work was very expensive but what was shocking was to find out that this has been an ongoing problem with the Journey which Dodge has elected to ignore. Below is a link to one site which reports this. This is irresponsible. Https://www.carproblemzoo.com/Dodge/Journey/steering-rack-and-pinion-problems.php
The front suspension and sway bar with all attachments should be recalled. I am not sure if other 2015 dodge Journey users have experienced this or not but since I got my car in 2016 i have had to replace all the parts on 4 different occasions. It is ridiculous and to me is a safety issue.
