To date, I have brought the vehicle to the service department four times, primarily due to the check engine light and other critical malfunctions. Below is a summary of the incidents: First Visit (approx July 2024): The vehicle suddenly lost acceleration while I was in traffic, leaving me stranded in the roadway. This posed a serious safety risk. The vehicle remained in the shop for 28 days. Second Visit (September 29, 2024): Multiple warning lights illuminated, and several diagnostic codes were detected. Third visit (do not recall the issue): Will find work orders if needed Most Recent Visit (December 3, 2025): A coolant leak caused the temperature gauge to spike, resulting in the air conditioning shutting off due to overheating. The next day the check engine light came on. I had no warning prior to the guage spiking. …
I am filing this complaint regarding a persistent and unresolved defect with my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse, VIN: [redacted] . The first occurrence of this issue was in June 2025. Since then, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced a "Check Engine" warning, engine misfires (cylinder misfire), loss of power while driving, and severe engine shaking. These symptoms make the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Chevrolet dealership approximately 20 times for the same ongoing issue. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem has never been permanently resolved. In total, the vehicle has spent about three months out of service at the dealership. As of January 14, 2026, after the vehicle has been at the dealership for over two weeks, I was informed that the dealer is unable to repair the vehicle. …
I am reporting a serious safety incident involving my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse RS AWD, with approximately 34,378 miles. On or about [redacted], while the vehicle was being driven near Sarasota Florida at approximately 25 mph, it suddenly lost propulsion and all electrical power. The instrument panel, displays and vehicle electrical systems went completely dark. The vehicle was completely dead and would not restart. Police subsequently jump-started it, but the vehicle's systems did not initially operate normally. This vehicle previously experienced another complete electrical-power failure while parked overnight, and the dealership has a record of that incident. Following the in-motion shutdown, the dealership performed a complete software flash using USB and stated that a software problem may have caused a parasitic battery draw. …
2024 Chevrolet Traverse, 2.5L turbo (LK0). The cooling system has repeatedly lost coolant through quick-connect hose fittings. On 4-3-2026, at 36,650 miles, Washington Chevrolet replaced the radiator inlet hose under warranty for coolant loss. After that repair the vehicle kept losing coolant, and I have had to top off the reservoir repeatedly. No low coolant warning or dash alert has ever appeared. On 10-14-2026, at 49,066 miles, the same dealer found the outlet hose at the coolant surge tank leaking, rated it Critical, and quoted $480.30 to replace it. The dealer declined warranty and goodwill coverage. Safety concern: coolant loss with no driver warning can lead to overheating, reduced power, or engine shutdown while driving, including at highway speed. …
