What owners report
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated the transmission became inoperable. The vehicle was taken twice to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be repaired or replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000. The VIN was not available.
Transmission skips gears from a stop to go acceleration. Took my vehicle to a Chevrolet ase certified repair facility to have checked. The clutch plate was melted along with some planetary bearings destroyed. The repair bill came to 1,800.00 $. Now the vehicle is showing signs of a recurring slippage problem only after 2 months since it was repaired and used parts replaced. Why isn't there a recall for this issue? My 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss less than 72,000 miles on it.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle; however, the failure returned soon after restart. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle related to the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
When accelerating from a stop, the transmission slips and then shifts hard (slams into the next gear) no matter how slow I try to take off. This happens no matter if I come to a complete stop or not but only happens when the transmission tries to go from 1st to 2nd. The problem occurs about 50% of the time. It doesn't matter how far into the drive I am. Happens when first started driving for the day and after a 40 minute drive. Vehicle only has 62,000 miles and the car is never driven hard!
Tl contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that the vehicle shut off and would not restart. The vehicle was driving abnormally and the transmission did not shift when the vehicle was cold. The brain, PCM, wheel bearings, and ic shaft were replaced. Also, on one occasion while driving at an unknown speed, the interior and exterior lights dimmed and the vehicle had to be shut off and restarted in order for the lights to illuminate again. The current mileage was 40,000 and failure mileage was 34,800.
I have 2005 Monte Carlo with 85,000 miles and now the instrument panel has gone south. The speedometer is off and the temp gage is not working. I have investigated and found many people have this same problem also my transmission is starting to slip. Can you help? I will never buy another American car.
My speedometer, RPM, and gas gauges are inaccurate. I cannot tell how fast I am going, nor how much gas I have. Then ever since I bought my car, brand new, my transmission has been slipping, its an automatic. The dealer fixed it the 1st time, but now again, 90,000 miles later, its us starting to happen again.my radio has stopped working, no light or noise period. Please recall because I have read literally hundreds of posts of the same problem in the same car. I paid good money for my car, not for this. All if these problems are unsafe and I really hate for my 1 year old boy to ride in it. Please, please recall the car.
Car would not go into reverse. I put it back into park then in reverse and it worked. I drove home feeling hesitation with the transmission. I dropped it off at the dealership. They confirmed it was the trans due to faulty parts. The warranty was for 36,000 miles my car has 50,000. I am looking for them to back there parts for replacement they want to charge 3,000.00 for repair. They then offered to give 1,000.00 towards repair but the whole reason the car broke was due to faulty parts.
