Electronics continually work in a "muted" manor. Not enough heat from the seat, steering wheel etc. Park assist and cruise control disengage on their own. Infotainment screen fails to recognize key fob and reboots radio. Entire camera system frequently goes out with an error that no cameras are even hooked up. HVAC system runs way too cold. Blower cuts out. Random vents will work, others don't or struggle. Zero airflow out of the rear vents. Excessive water drips out of vehicle from several spots while either minimal or no exhaust coming from tailpipe. Sometimes exhaust comes from under the hood. Transmission shifts when it shouldn't and doesn't when it should. Grinding sensation from gas pedal upon accelerating. Very sluggish. No power. Rpms reach 3000-4000 trying to accelerate down steep inclines. Gravity is no match for this vehicle. …
The fuel pump on my 2023 Chevrolet Equinox began malfunctioning on [redacted] when the check engine light came on. Less than 24 hours later, the light went out. On [redacted], while leaving a CVS pharmacy, the vehicle jerked, then the engine shut off. After putting the car in park, I was able to restart the car and continue on. On [redacted], the check engine light illuminated again. While sitting at a stop light in the turn lane, as I began to push the accelerator, the vehicle once again jerked and the engine shut-off, almost causing the vehicle behind me to collide. I was able to restart the car and continue on my way. On 3/21/25, I took the car to the local Chevrolet dealership (Integrity Chevrolet in Chattanooga, TN). After inspecting the car, the dealer informed me the high-pressure fuel pump and fuel pump module was bad and had to be replaced. …
Within the past two months, I have experienced multiple significant mechanical failures that raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety of this vehicle. First, the air conditioning compressor failed at approximately 55,000 miles. This was an unexpected and costly repair for a vehicle that is only two years old and has been properly maintained. Shortly thereafter, the fuel pump failed. I became aware there was a recall related to the fuel system; however, when the dealership ran my VIN, it did not populate under the recall campaign. Despite this, the component still failed. Now, I am experiencing continued stalling and drivability issues, particularly when coming to a stop or when the automatic start/stop system engages at traffic lights. Based on the symptoms, I believe the secondary fuel pump may also be malfunctioning. …
**NHTSA Complaint Summary: 2023 Chevrolet Equinox Warranty & Safety Failure** * **First Stall & Initial Negligence:** After a factory engine replacement, the vehicle suffered a fuel system failure. Castle Rock Chevrolet falsely claimed it was repaired, leading to a catastrophic stall on a high-speed highway with raw gasoline and burning plastic odors. * **Second Stall & False Diagnosis:** Following a tow, the dealership cleared the car, claiming "no errors". Within 24 hours, it stalled again in live traffic. Castle Rock then refused emergency warranty service and hung up on you. * **Critical Safety Hazard:** The vehicle experiences a severe electrical voltage drop (triggering **"Engine Power Is Reduced"** and **"Battery Saver Active"** warnings). …
I own a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox that is experiencing unexpected loss of power while driving, hard starting, warning lights, and fuel-system-related diagnostic trouble codes. There is an open GM recall/customer satisfaction program related to the fuel system. I contacted General Motors and was given Customer Assistance Case #1069141090. GM advised me that the applicable recall repair needs to be performed. I brought the vehicle to Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall and explained that the vehicle was losing power unexpectedly while being driven. The dealership acknowledged that it could see the recall but told me that Bomnin reserved the right not to perform the recall repair and directed me to drive the vehicle to another dealership in Miami Lakes. I am concerned about being instructed to continue driving a vehicle that can unexpectedly lose power while in traffic. …
