On 10/29/25 I brought the vehicle in to Richard Lucas Chevrolet due to the alert from my insurance co that there was a recall with parking brake system. The dealership checked the car and told me they had to order the part that was needed due to the recall. Prior I also made the dealer aware that the car had recently stalled on me in the middle of the street, I was told by the dealership that this was apart of the recall! The dealership allowed me to drive the car and stated to me that they would call me when the part comes in! 2 days later on 11/1/25 while driving the car lost control, the brakes wouldn't stop and I crashed into 2 parked cars and landed on top of the second parked car which was a pickup truck! All of the airbags deployed and my body is pretty messed up from this horrific crash and this has caused fear in me of driving!
The curtain airbags deployed at slow speed going over a speed bump. It shut off and would not start again. ONSTAR said it had been in an accident but it had not. The vehicle is at the dealership waiting on General Motors to do an inspection. There were no warnings or messages until it shut off.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH when a semi-truck crashed into the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side of the vehicle. The vehicle began to spin, causing it to go into the lane the semi-truck was in, and it was hit on the driver's side of the vehicle several times. The vehicle ended up crashing into the median and coming to a stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact received neck injuries, spinal injuries, headaches, consistent ringing of the ears, shoulder injuries, and hip injuries. Medical attention was needed. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and taken to the dealer, who repaired the driver's side doors, tires, rims, and other parts of the body of the vehicle that the contact was unable to identify. The air bag failure was not diagnosed or repaired. …
i was in a severe accident on 10/6/2025 with a vehicle traveling at approximately 50+mph. My front quarter panel was struck crossing an intersection when a vehicle ran a red light. My vehicle sustained a lot of damage with my head striking the drivers side window --- with no air bags deploying
I was driving home on a country road on the evening of January 21st. This is a non-lit, tar and chip with a soft shoulder road. I hit some black ice and the car swerved right, left and I got it straight again. During the swerve, both right and left air bags went off. I did not hit anything and the car never left the road. I made a case with GM. They dropped the case because they said the vehicle nearly rolled over. I told her that I am appealing the case because I was never given any written documentation and if that is the reason they dropped the case, the report has false information. The vehicle never nearly rolled over. I am getting no cooperation with GM. My brand new vehicle is sitting in a body shop waiting on airbags that are back ordered. How can a brand new vehicle have parts on back order already? My insurance is paying the 11,000.00 repair and then will most likely drop us. …
Couple week after bought, complete brake failure. Cost 11oo to fix.feb. 26 look out door in morning and air bags exploded and cause all electric system to go out. Brake was on street, air bag was in driveway at home.
Takata inflators: I had left my house headed to work at approximately 6:30 am and got on i40 eastbound, it had snowed the day before and the roads had been treated and were clear for travel, I was traveling on a 3 lane highway in the left lane @ aprox 50mph and I applied my brakes to do upcoming traffic, when the ABS system locked. I attempted to let off and re apply the brake but the ABS system just stayed engaged and the front end started sliding hard to the left and I steered away from the pull. I subsequently hit the center concrete wall at approx. 40mph with the front passenger side of my car, which caused me to spin around and hit the passenger rear, I continued to spin until I was facing back east. My air bags did not deploy but it caused severe damage to core support and passenger side frame horn. …
Dt*: the contact stated that both front airbags of the vehicle did not deploy during a crash which occurred while traveling 45 MPH. The vehicle was headed east on a narrow, rough, bumpy road when it approached an intersection and struck another vehicle heading north. The other vehicle briefly stopped at the stop sign and pulled out into the intersection 15 feet before the contact's vehicle reached the intersection. This resulted in the contact's vehicle crashing into the front driver side door of the other vehicle. Both occupants were wearing their seat belts. The airbag warning light was not on prior to the crash. The police took pictures and a report was filed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection.
