I was in a car accident going 40 MPH and my airbag did not deploy. Although the vehicle is no longer drivable I feel this is a safety issue that mat need to be checked on other vehicles like mine.
Van involved in car accident. My van broadsided a 1990 lebaron. I was traveling approx. 35 MPH. The airbag did not deploy. Chevrolet inspected the van and found no defects, but they refused to provide a copy of their investigation. The investigation was confidential, but they did not provide a reason for the airbag not deploying.
ABS brakes fail to stop vehicle right away when applied. Would kick in later. Had trouble since 1994. The last time ABS brakes were applied, they locked up & another vehicle was rearended. Air bag did not deploy. Taking vehicle to dealer, again, to check brakes out.

Vehicle invoved in an accdent, broadsiding another vehicle at approximately 35 MPH. Upon impact, driver's air bag failed to deploy. Manufacturer notified, and had nothing postive to say. Seeking NHTSA for help in this matter.
Vehicle involved in a frontal collision with a Ford, ranger at 45 MPH. Upon impact, driver's air bag did not deploy. Dealer / manufacturer notified. Please feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
Sensors in the sir system which are mounted on the front bracket---both braces on my van are more than 60% rusted through--the potential for a nondeploying air bag system is higher than one that is completely intact
