Please add me to the compliant pool. My transfer case/transmission went out - 2022, 80,000 miles. March 6, 2026 NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: DP26001 OPEN INVESTIGATION All wheel drive allegation NHTSA Action Number: DP26001 Components: POWER TRAIN Opened From: March 6, 2026 - Present Summary The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) received a Petition dated January 9, 2026, requesting an investigation into the loss of the optional all-wheel drive capability in model year (MY) 2021-2023 Acura TLX and MY 2022-2023 Acura MDX vehicles. The Petition contends that the interfacing splines between the transmission and the rear wheel drive power take off unit are failing. Failure of these splines prevents the transfer of drive power to the rear axle, making the vehicle front wheel drive only. The Petition further alleges that this failure results in a reduction of vehicle directional control. …
I was driving and my AWD sistem made a shader sound and right after that the vehicle went on two wheel drive, the clang it made cause the vehicle to swerve in the highway which could have caused an accident. Yes the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle hasn't been inspected by the dealer or anyone yet, but the SH-AWD light came on after the sound and the vehicle stayed on front wheel drive only. If this system fail the way it fail on my vehicle at a higher speed it could have caused a fatal accident!
Safety issue for Continental Cross Contact LX Sport tires that were OEM tires on 2020 Acura MDX. I've had to have 3 nails removed from tires in just over 2 years of owning this car. So I've had tires inspected quite a bit. Also, every time I had oil changed (at Acura), they would rotate the tires and also inspected them. Every trip to Discount Tire, I was asked if I was rotating the tires because they noticed uneven wear. Now at 29K miles, the current rear tires are at 4/32 and front at 6/32. Latest nail removal visit, the discount tire rep mentioned he was going to research these tires and why they would be wearing this prematurely. He noted the rear tires had exceptional wear on the outer tread and noted this could cause the tread to separate. …
A federal safety recall was performed on the vehicle to install a rear subframe reinforcement kit. Before the recall repair, the vehicle operated normally and had no vibration at highway speeds. Immediately after the recall repair, a new vibration developed above approximately 60 mph. The vibration is felt primarily from the rear of the vehicle, occurs only while accelerating, becomes most noticeable between 60 and 80 mph, and disappears immediately when the accelerator is released while maintaining the same speed. The condition is repeatable and remains unresolved. The vibration creates concern for loss of vehicle stability and control at highway speeds because it occurs while the drivetrain is under load. No warning lights or diagnostic messages appeared before or after the repair. …
Continental Crosscontact LX Sport 265/45R20 104H Tires have about 33,275 miles on them (rotated regularly) and one of the tires has a huge bump in the tread. The belt has separated from the sidewall. From what I've read, there are recalls on this tire, but not for this particular date that these tires were made. With it being on the front, it makes the steering wheel shake and I'm scared to drive it anywhere except to the tire store.
I was in a drive through was asked to pull forward and park at curb as I braked my vehicle accelerated on its own striking the curb and damaging my left front wheel at the time of the false acceleration I was in drive ideling forward
At approximately 500 miles on the odometer, the steering wheel began vibrating when traveling between 58-62 MPH. Steering wheel vibrated with and without braking. At approximately 1,000 miles, steering wheel began vibrating violently when traveling between 58-62 MPH. Steering wheel vibrated with and without braking. Dealership rotated tires. Moderate steering wheel vibration still remained when braking between 58-62 MPH. At approximately 2,400 miles, steering wheel began vibrating violently again when braking between 58-62 MPH. The dealership replaced front rotors and rotated tires. At approximately 3,000 miles, steering wheel began vibrating violently again when braking between 55-65 MPH.
Continental Cross Contact LX Sport 245 / 50 R 20 102 H tires. We had them installed at the Acura dealership on 7/14/2023. We noticed recently the tire tread on the front driver side in an area was peeling up in a small spot. At our oil change and tire rotation with Acura on 4/24/26, I notified them and they stated tire was okay. The tires currently only have about 15;389 miles on them. I contacted Continental Tire because I noticed the tread peeling or pitting on both tires that were rotated to the rear getting worse. Continental told me I could take to a tire center that sells Continental tires to have them inspected. Took to Discount Tire and they submitted information to Continental Tire. They responded with a prorated amount of $230.00 total for the 2 rear tires only. The rep with Discount Tires informed me that all 4 of my tires came from the same manufacturing plant and same lot. …
