I own a 2025 Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The vehicle has recurring software defects that create a serious safety risk. First, the infotainment and central control system repeatedly reboots while I am driving. On a single trip from Washington, DC to Burlington, Vermont, the system rebooted approximately 8 to 10 times. It has also rebooted within minutes of starting the vehicle during local driving. Each reboot blanks the center display, which disables the backup/parking camera and interrupts the speedometer and driver-information display, climate controls, and other functions. Losing these displays and controls while the vehicle is in motion is a significant safety hazard. Second, after installing a Volvo over-the-air (OTA) software update, the vehicle was rendered completely inoperable. …

My 2025 Volvo XC60 Plug-in hybrid Ultimate package was built with laminated rear passenger windows. The car is less than one-year old and both rear passenger windows are very cloudy (see attached), obstructing the vision of the driver in situations such as when changing lanes or parking. This could easily contribute to an accident on the highway or endanger children or pets in driveway conditions. The occurrence of this defect can be found in multiple social media posts and appears to be limited to the XC60 model with the Ultimate package. My Volvo dealer agreed that both windows have significant cloudiness during my August 2025 service visit. Even after submitting photos of the cloudiness, Volvo corporate, while acknowledging the condition, refuses to remedy the defect.

On Wednesday December 3, 2025 the front windshield wipers stopped working on my wife's 2023 Volvo XC60. The stalk to control the wipers was operating as normal. It was able to spray the windshield wiper fluid and operate the rear window wiper as expected. This happened that day that we received unexpected lake effect snow in our area. We immediately scheduled an appointment at dealership we purchased the vehicle from and dropped it off on Friday December 5, 2025. A few moments ago we received a call from the service department that there is an internal service bulletin regarding this issue. They explained that there is a process where they have to go back and forth with Volvo to diagnose the issue. They could not estimate when the issue would be resolved or what was the cause. …

Hi, I bought this XC60 in SEP/2020 which is 2021type. In 2020 winter, after snowing The car's left(driver' window) doesn't work. I have searched the problem of wiper through on-line. I found the recall and then wrote on the manufacturer's online site & regular exam oil change Volvo service. But, I didn't get the right answer. They just this is not a recall SUV. When rainy days I can't see anything both of the wipers don't work and shows a warning of not working. It's too dangerous. I always bring a driver in order to open the window wiper cap. I have fixed it over 10 times. Today my wife drive this vehicle on a rainy day She was frustrated and fall into a dangerous situation. Both wipes don't work. Please review and fix it.

The driver's side mirror repositions itself downward, upward, or outward when unlocking and opening a door. It infrequently repositions while driving as well. These occurrences put me and others at risk by increasing my blind spot when I need to change lanes. Two Volvo dealers have reproduced the mirror changing positions when unlocking and opening the door, but a few times they were not able to get the car to reproduce it. Technicians have performed software updates, deleted and reprogrammed the keys to the car, and performed a factory reset on the infotainment center to no avail.

Water is leaking down the inside of the windshield while driving in rain. It comes from the top edge and streaks down the drivers side (left side). I spoke with a mechanic that services my vehicle and was told if it was a sunroof drain issue it would be coming down the pillars and getting on the floor. They were confident that it was the windshield that was leaking and referred me to a local auto glass business for repair. I read on a car forum about other Volvo car owners having the exact same problem with their Volvos that are around the same age as mine. It seems to be a glass adhesion failure that consistently occurs on the top edge of the Volvo OEM windshields. …

The problem started 2 years ago and has progressively become worse. The original windshield is leaking water, which drains down inside the A-pillar and windshield. Water also leaks into the air-bag in the A-pillar, and moisture may come in contact with the electronic parts in the dashboard, creating a safety issue and a potential fire hazard. Last year I contacted Tucson Volvo for help, and they referred me to JD Auto Glass [phone]). The local dealer refused to take any responsibility for this safety defect. There have been heavy rains recently in Tucson, and water is dripping onto my lap while I am driving, and trying to wipe the dashboard dry. This causes a major distraction and obstructs my vision, since the water continuously runs down the inside of the windshield glass. Yesterday I contacted Tucson Volvo again, and they referred me to Tony's AutoGlass [phone]). …
