Driver seat feels like something is loose in the back and is popping randomly almost like somebody's kicking you in the back. It can be very distracting while driving. This happened on the 2026LE I had that I turned in because of that problem. I've had it seen several times by the dealership for this issue and there's no solution. There's also an issue with the wiper blades going extremely too slow for rain, especially in South Florida with weather that includes torrential downpour. You cannot safely see even at full speed wiper. This may seem like a time in which you should just pull over, but I was born and raised driving in South Florida in the rain and I've had multiple vehicles that I've never had this issue before. Electronic system can be fidgety. The rear cross traffic warning stopped working. …
At certain times of the day ,the windshield becomes milky with feathery, spotted pattern obscuring my visibility while driving. At first, we thought it needed a proper cleaning. We now realize we have a defective windshield. It is called windshield delamination. The car was brought to Toyota of Coconut Creek. The service advisor, Wilford Charles was provided photo documentation of the windshield. If you put on the defogger or drive with windows up the spotting will disappear in about 5 minutes. The service advisor said they would NOT honor the windshield replacement unless they physically saw the incident happening. Then it would be 2 weeks until Toyota would come to inspect to say if they would honor the warranty and replace the windshield. Toyota is forcing me to have to pay for a new windshield and denying it is defective. Please advise. Thank you.

My Camry has 6K miles on it. On Friday, 6 dec 2019 at 1600, I picked up my Camry from yuba city Toyota after having its first vehicle service. While driving on hwy 20 towards grass valley, ca less than 20 min after picking it up, I heard an extremely loud explosion over my head. It truly sounded like a gun went off in my car. I ducked, looked around and realized it was probably the sunroof because I could hear air blowing. I was on a four lane section of hwy with absolutely no cars in front of me and a car a few hundred yards behind me. There were no trees overhead and it was a clear evening outside with no rain. It was approximately 55 degrees outside also. This was not caused by any objects. Fortunately, I had the inside panel closed and did not have any glass fly into my face. This is extremely dangerous. …
The windshield is severely distorted. During the daytime, while moving, or seeing moving objects, it is unusually hard to judge speed and distance due to the distortions. At nighttime, the distortions bend, twist lights and headlights making driving very dangerous. Multiple visits to the dealer and a visit from a Toyota factory representative to inspect the windshield have been met with refusal to make repairs. The factory representative does acknowledge windshield defects but says "they are comparable to like vehicles." he refused to examine other new "like" models with me because his assertion is erroneous.
Wife was driving on freeway in scottsdale when a small rock impacted lower left of windshield. Over the period of 2 hours a crack 3 feet long developed across drivers side of windshield. There are numerous reports of this happening on the internet for the Camry Hybrid since 2007. This appears to be manufacturers defect in engineering design or manufacture. Toyota is not addressing the issue, since they make a lot of money on the windshield replacement (>$1,200 for a windshield? Give me a break). Have numerous rock chips in windshields of other vehicles that do not result in this type of damage.
The master power window switch started smoking while I was driving down the road on 6/18/12. At the time, I wasn't aware of any issues with the power switches. So my family and I jumped out the car and called the fire department. They disconnected the battery and the car towed to Toyota. The power switch had burned up and some of the door panel was burned as well. Went back to get my car, and the battery went out as well. Today, 10/12/12, my car is still in the shop at Toyota. It has been a long, drawn out process, but I'll be glad when I receive my reimbursement and car. I am a loyal Toyota customer and this is my first incident with them.
