While driving your 2025 Toyota Camry, I experienced an unintended acceleration and brake failure causing a collision to occur on October 10, 2024 with only around 7000 miles. I was ready to park my vehicle in the garage of my company with very low speed between two vehicles, then it suddenly accelerated on its own and the brakes would not stop the vehicle. My vehicle collided with a wall only around 3 feet before my vehicle. I have concern that this incident resulted from a defect with my vehicle, so I noticed Toyota's dealer and Toyota. I suspect this is a control system failure since this is a new hybrid vehicle. I have heard online that there are several accidents happened for Toyota hybrid vehicles having similar experience: new vehicles with low speed even with foot on the brake. The unintended acceleration under low speed with foot on the brake is a safety issue. …

2025 Camry Hybrid · Oct 2024 · crash

The 2025 Toyota Camry SE Hybrid suffered a catastrophic electronic brake-by-wire and computer network failure during a low-speed stop. The brake pedal went completely mushy, and the vehicle registered zero deceleration for a full second, causing a collision. Immediately after impact, the dashboard displayed systemic failures across multiple ADAS and safety networks, specifically throwing explicit alerts for 'Airbag Malfunction,' 'Headlight Malfunction,' and 'System Malfunction.' The vehicle is currently held at Toyota Carlsbad under Corporate Case 261007001900. Local dealer mechanics have already officially inspected the footwell and ruled out any driver floor mat obstruction. A minor child was injured and evaluated at the Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Room."

While driving on roads/highways, at any speed, the driver's side (l) blind spot monitor intermittently fails to function properly, often falsely indicating other vehicles in the blind spot, while in reality, no other vehicles are present, or by not signaling while other vehicles are present. Recently, while driving on an interstate highway, the monitor illuminated (signaling a vehicle in the blind spot) and stayed lit for over 20 miles before going out. The problem occurs randomly, regardless of weather, time of day, speed, and presence or absence of metallic objects around my vehicle.

2018 Camry Hybrid · 1,000 miles · Jan 2018

While braking at very low speeds, the brakes on the car 'lock up' at the slightest application of pressure on the brake pedal. This makes it impossible to maneuver in tight spaces (like garage or parking space) without neck-jerking sudden stop and go driving. The problem occurs intermittently, and most often after car has been parked for several hours. The problem has occurred in warm, humid florida, cold, wintry missouri, and on virtually every type of road surface and every type of weather.

2018 Camry Hybrid · 1,000 miles · Jan 2018

We have had all four door lock actuators replaced... Before 40,000 miles!!! And all within six months of each other...ugh!!! But at least they were under warranty, thank god, because if they weren't, it would have been $1,700. I know this is a very common problem with Toyota products, I guess they just have very weak door lock motors. This is the order they went out in: drivers, rear passenger, front passenger, and rear driver. Before they actually went out, they would intermittently not work. You could see the door lock indicator trying to move, but it couldn't move all the way into the locked or unlocked position. It seemed to happen when it either was super cold or super hot outside. What was super annoying was if one door lock didn't lock, the entire car unlocked itself. So you would walk away thinking the car was locked, when it really wasn't. …
