On [redacted], I purchased a brand-new vehicle 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid from Post Oak Toyota (located at 5800 Tinker Diagonal, Midwest City, OK 73110). The dealership delivered this vehicle to me with an open, active safety recall that had not been fixed. We discovered the recall June 20 2026 after setting up the new Toyota app. The dealership violated federal safety regulations by finalizing the sale and delivering a brand-new vehicle with an unaddressed factory safety recall. I was placed at unnecessary risk during the week and a half I operated the vehicle. Furthermore, I have been deprived of the use of my brand-new vehicle for the vast majority of my ownership period because the dealer sold a product they could not legally or safely allow me to keep driving. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this dealership non-compliance and delivery violation. …

While driving my 2026 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid at approximately 10 mph in a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated on its own without any input from me. I applied hard braking to bring the vehicle under control. No collision occurred. The specific component or system that failed is UNKNOWN - I suspect the speed control, powertrain, or electrical throttle system, but this has not yet been diagnosed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly at low speed in a parking lot, an environment with pedestrians, parked vehicles, and other close-proximity hazards. I had to brake hard to stop it, which could have resulted in a collision with another vehicle, a pedestrian, or a fixed object had I not been able to react in time. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer. …

On 01/23/26 and again on 02/02/26, I lost power while driving. Fortunately, on both times I was able to turn off the road with no injury or property damage to me or others. I don't remember if there was a screen message as I was taken by such surprise. Both times, I was traveling about 35 - 40 mph. On 02/04/26 I took my car to my dealer, AutoNation Toyota, Winter Park, Fl. I advised of these incidents and stated I was now afraid of my car. Later, I realized the service tech did Not mention these specific issues. A complete diagnosis of my car did not reveal any problem. On 02/17/26, I received the bolt recall, which could cause power loss with no remedy available yet. I emailed AutoNation asking for a refund or replacement Camry not affected by the recall. Per my request, they did provide my 2 incidents and my fear to the 02/04/26 invoice. …

Vehicle makes a squeaking noise from the driver front wheel at speeds between 0 - 5 mph. Toyota released a technical service bulletin T-SB-0031-26 to fix the issue. I had my vehicle serviced under the TSB. Toyota service indicated on the invoice "Driver front wheel bearing is coming apart and leaking grease causing noise. Replaced driver front wheel bearing". After a few hundred miles of driving, the squeaking noise from the driver front wheel at speeds between 0-5 mph has returned. My case is filed at the Toyota headquarters office under my name and file 260512000440. I have images, invoice and TSB, but they will not upload in the portal

The remedy to fix the current recall is taking absurdly long. I have driven a car previously in which there was a sudden loss of power and the risk to myself and other drivers is very dangerous. I just purchased this car in Nov. and the recall was soon after. I am very disappointed in this lack of urgency in finding a remedy. I purchased this car for my teen daughter to drive - what a mark on the safety of Toyotas name. There should be an investigation as to why the remedy is not being rushed as, again a lack of power and/or risk of fire on a busy California freeway, is putting so many at risk.

While actively moving at highway speeds on July 13, 2026, the vehicle suffered an instantant, total loss of all 12V electrical auxiliary power. The dashboard flashed 'Hybrid System Malfunction' and 'Drive-Start Control Malfunction' before all digital instrument clusters, center infotainment displays, and cabin lights went completely dark. Power steering and braking assist dropped to emergency backup thresholds, creating an extreme safety hazard. The vehicle was moved to a dealership where it has remained disabled for 17 days waiting on factory engineering guidance.
