I have been having messages come across my digital screen, saying "check ABS system", check stability system, service ABS system- also constant problem with trying to start the van- seems like the starter will not release, it just keeps attempting to start even after I let go of the switch.

Numerous attempts to fix the same and continuously different problems with our 2005 Montana. Flickering interior lights, ABS system failure (4x), retorque harmonic balancer, replace radio that randomly changed stations, replace molding on all doors from rust (2x), right wheel bearing and hub assembly replacement (2x), replace turn signal lamps (2x), replace fuel level sensor, replace strap on rear door that fell off. We have had issues with it not turning over as well, going on for over a year, and each time it is taken into the shop they are 'unable to duplicate the problem' and send me home where of course it fails to turn over but won't do it when they have it in their possession. The incident date below is the date of the first time it was in for service.

Whistle noise from front of vehicle around 60 MPH. Dealer has replaced the front windshield seal, door seal, and a gasket under the hood but this has not helped. The dealer told me that they didn't hear the whistle unless they drove it 90 MPH!!! I was told that this is a problem with Pontiac's design and it can not be fixed. Passenger side sliding door doesn't stay shut and doesn't open when outside handle is pulled and motor running too long and grinding after door has closed. The door motor has been replaced yet there is still a grinding noise when the door shuts. Headlights surging causing me to constantly be bright lighted by oncoming traffic. The dealer told me that this is normal!

We have to kept changing the brake lights in the back because they keep going out ever few weeks. We even went and bought a new stop signal switch but that wasn't it. We want to know if there was a recall on the brake light and the wiring and why they keep going out. We have had issues since we bought in June 2014. We are just tired of keep pouring money into it but I don't want an accident or to get pull over either. The only light that never has an issue is the brake bar on top.

We have owned the car since oct 2005, purchased used from a Saturn dealership. Car was involved in a gas tank recall, however we were notified nearly two years after we had a rupture that dropped an entire tank of fuel on the driveway and were told we were lucky to be alive having driven unknowingly with this leak. Tank was replaced under extended auto warranty. Multiple electrical problems: tail light goes out and is replaced, then driver headlight goes out. Water leaks inside drivers side headlight when it rains. The tail plug in for tail light bulb had gotten so hot it had melted the plug in both tail lights. Random electrical failure with windows and door locks occurring. Dash panel burned out, radio display bled out and radio then failed - would not turn off after button was pushed and had to be removed from the dashboard in order to avoid draining battery completely. …

I bought 2002 Pontiac Montana used in dec. 2008. First the radio display went completely out. Then as I was pulling into a parking lot the car shut off by itself... It started back up again but I was in traffic and almost caused three cars to crash. Then I noticed that my driver's side brake light went out, and a week later the passenger side brake light went out. I have bought replacement bulbs and it still does not work (the bar on top is working). The radio/ clock display is just an inconvenience but brake lights... They are important! I am bringing to the dealer today to inspect. I see there are many many complaints for this and should not be overlooked!!! I have my family to protect!

Stop lamp bulbs are shorting out at connector to sockets. This has happened three times so far. Twice on the left side and once on the right side. The result is a melted base on OEM bulbs with plastic bases and an inoerable brake light. Frequent failures of stop lamps creates a safety hazard. So far I have replaced three bulbs, cleaned and filed the contacts, applied dielectric grease, and used bulbs with glass bases. One of the plastic base bulbs is available for inspection. There was no indication of contamination from moisture or other sources. Vehicle has not been driven in cold climate or high humidity conditions.
