I have been locked inside my vehicle at least 15 times. Yesterday both the driver door and the passenger door would not open. The car was in park, I pressed the unlock button several times and could hear the door unlock, however the door would not open. I have called Pontiac and they have stated that there is no recall on this. So I looked further into this by doing a general search on google and apparantly there are hundreds having this issue. My mother and sister both drive a G6 as well and this has happened to them as well. I would think an issue like this would be just a serious as Toyota's brakes not working. If there were to be a fire or serious wreck I would not be able to get out of my car. I have had to crawl out the window or through the backseat to get out of my car. …
I have got locked inside my car. I was with my family at casey's and I could not get out of my driver side door. We unlocked it again and again but could not get the door to open. The other doors worked fine. Finally my daughter helped me out of the car. This just happened to my son too and he told me to file a complaint as well. There is one other girl that we know of that has the same issue. It was very scary being trapped inside the car. I was just glad I wasn't alone.

I own a 4 door sedan G6 with power door locks - the left rear power door lock has quit causing me to have to reach across the seat to lock / unlock the door = not ideal in case of an accident. My intermediate steering shaft is clicking and grinding inside the column and the headlight wiring harness continues to melt causing the headlight to go dim = all of these safety and fire hazards need recall.

My G6 sports convertible has a tendency to lock me in the car.. It has a retractable roof and the windows function up and down and inch for security reasons when using the roof.. On such day, I was not using the roof and pulled in my driveway and put it in park and the driver door locked me in... Would not let me open the door .. I turned off the radio thinking it May have something to do with it but didnt.. The only door that would open was the passenger side door.. If that would not have let me out I would have been locked inside my vehicle.. Also, the traction light comes on when I didnt even have it on.. In summer I do not use the traction feature, onlyif it is raining hard. Three times for the light and two times now locking me in.. I contacted a Pontiac service rep and he said I probably have a door lock defect. …
