What owners report
2021 Nissan Titan XD was being driven. I was listening to an audio book through android auto. I began to hear a noice I can best describe as a beep or squeal like you might hear from an electronic toy with a battery about to die. I thought the sound was coming from the center console and was trying to identify the source when I observed flames erupt behind the passenger door speaker grill. I exited the vehicle and opened the passenger side door where I patted the speaker grill and was able to extinguish the flame. I called 911. The call connected via bluetooth and I was able to hear the call through the other speakers. I pulled the door panel cover open and was able to observe the speaker was damaged. I reached in and pulled the connector out of the top of the speaker to hopefully ensure it would not reignite. The connector was not hot, melted or damaged.

The issues I'm experiencing with this vehicle is delayed pedal response and a whole slew of transmission problems. There are no codes or check engine lights on. When coming to a stop and the vehicle downshifts you can visibly see the RPMs go up with each down shift and sometimes the downshift is so harsh going to 1st gear that it feels like another vehicle has bumped me from behind causing the truck to jerk forward and make a clunking sound. There is also a problem when upshifting where the RPMs will jump up before shifting into the next gear. I had a situation where I was turning left on a green light with traffic coming and had plenty of time to make it but when I rolled out into the intersection and hit the gas nothing happened for over 2 seconds. …
I rented vehicle from Budget rent a car system. The electrical engine computer system components malfunctioned and went out while I was driving. The rental car company sold or destroyed the vehicle upon request. My safety was compromised involving me in a accident. The Nissan Dealerships in Philadelphia & Ohio confirmed several unresolved recalls. The vehicle was inspected by Nissan Dealership after accident on behalf of Budget Rent a Car but Nissan dealership refused to fix recalls on a wrecked vehicle. I am experiencing engine stalling. I have also experienced dome light flickers or not turning on on occasion along with radio and phone charge connection not always working, like a short of some sort. Also the mirror button allowing the driver and passenger side mirrors to open close sometimes fails as if wiring is OK sometimes and other times not There is not an exact date for the issues as they have occurred on and off since 2019 I did take the truck into Nissan 11/2023 as the radio blacked out and would not turn on. I was told the Main Harness had a shorted out wire and a jumper wire should be installed. Nissan installed a jumper wire for the radio. Occasional flickering lights, charging connections, mirror operations, and engine stalling still remained.
