While Driving in normal Driving conditions, The Auto at 30 mph will Rev the RPMS up to as much as 5000 rpm before the Transmission will catch and accelerate loosing the ability to accelerate on demand when needed such as merging on to a Highway of speeds of 55 mph or higher. This behavior happens almost every single time acceleration is demanded and is not due to a lack of ATF fluid in the transmission. As the vehcile has done this after The local Service center of nissan in my area had just done the 20k mile check up. This has been on going and constant behavior since I purchased This nissan Titan in 2021. Truck currently has 35k, and has had all service suggestions done. …
The vehicle has loss of power and goes into limp mode unexpectedly. It has done this numerous times on the interstate and regular roads. It is a safety hazard. This has occurred on several dates and we were lucky to be able to pull over safely. We we traveling in Georgia last month and Nissan didn't even have a qualified diesel tech with 3 hours of where we were. We have had ten of thousands of dollars of work to the truck and it still is not fixed. They replaced the computer screen, wiring harness, and I believe parts of the exhaust system. They had the truck for months.
The vehicle is available for inspection immediately by all parties. While driving down the highway, the truck started a vibration, without any warning indicators. The vehicle was taken to the next travel center truck shop. The writer acknowledged the vibration like a misfire, but no codes were present. He recommended another shop or dealer. A detour was made to the nearest Nissan dealership. On the way, the truck stumbled with a violent vibration and shut down on the road without warning lights. There was a complete loss of power from the engine on the highway, giving way to the risk of being hit by other motorists and blocking traffic. Since the engine shut down, there was also a loss of power steering, giving high risk to the possibility of an accident. The truck was unable to restart. …
Unintended acceleration multiple times in my possession. A launch forward into another individuals vehicle. Brought it back to the dealership for a second time with the same complaint and finally they were able to duplicate the problem. Yet with a simple update nna corp decides that the vehicle is safe to come back into my hands but the dealer does not feel the same in this situation. I've been with out my vehicle for over 3 months now. And I don't feel it's safe.
2009 Nissan Titan suddenly and uncontrollably accelerated and when the brakes were depressed it did not stop the vehicle. The consumers son was driving the vehicle, when he intended to turn into a parking lot at his apartment and had come to a stop. After a car passed, he proceeded to turn into the parking lot. At that time, the vehicle suddenly and uncontrollably accelerated. He put his foot on the brake, but to no avail. The accident scene showed skid marks that he applied the brake. The vehicle proceeded and went through the wall of his living room, damaging the building and the vehicle. (lawyer wrote in on behalf client) updated 12/10/10.
After driving for 20 minutes with the cruise control previously on and set and still on but not activated, I momentarily applied the brakes at approximately 45mph then lifted my foot from the brake pedal while approaching a red light that had returned green the truck began to rapidly accelerate on its own without my assistance of applying the accelerator pedal. Quickly recognizing the unintended acceleration situation I immediately applied the brakes and was able to regain control of the truck without incident. I have taken a photo of the instrument panel within a few minutes of the unintended acceleration capturing vehicle operating conditions during the incident. Very dangerous situation that could result serious injury or death. Vehicle information should be downloaded from onboard computers right away. Please identify where the download should take place.
Door lock actuators stopped working causing a safety concern cern when needing to quickly exit the vehicle. Cruise control buttons stopped working as well. Vehicle has been clipped and also been involved in a rear end collision where on both occasions, the air bags did not deploy. Very concerning!
2007 Titan le 4wd, with 72,000 miles. In dec 2018 my right turn signal indicator would flash once and quit while driving but issue is replicated driving or stationary, engine on or off. I had the cruise control engaged and hitting the right turn signal tripped it off, as if I'd tapped the brakes. A week earlier, I started having intermittent issues with my backup sonar warning system then complete failure. Later troubleshooting the turn signal issue, I realized when I hit the brake, the right front turn lamp would illuminate while the brake pedal was depressed. I realized if I held or rode the brake pedal, then engaged the right turn signal, the right turn lamps and indicator worked normal, until I released the brake, then the right turn signal lamps would quit. Also noticed that all clearance lamps, tail and stop lamps fluctuated a little in Sync with the turn signal operation. …
