drivers seat is not sitting right almost seems like it came unhinged. driving on a short distance Trip I noticed that every time I needed to turn and it the road was windy I could smell fuel and it seems like I was loosing gas as I was driving like it was punchard or spilling some how.. I'm no mechanic but as a pregnant woman I was absolutely nauseous from going only an hour away. also it seemed like I would periodically loose power and at one point actually had to pull over and let the vehicle air out and cool down. seems like the was a situation with the coolant as well had to replace the cap and it looks as though that had been a issue with the previous owner as well.
Tl* the contact owned a 2006 Nissan Murano. While driving, the vehicle shook and began to smoke. The vehicle caught fire and flames appeared behind the driver's seat. The contact exited the vehicle as the fuel tank exploded three or four times. There were no injuries. The vehicle was destroyed and towed from the scene. Police and fire reports were filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 102,000.
Seat support is broken on the drivers side causing the driver my son, to shift to the left while driving the car. A dealer sold this used car as is and covered a wooden block that supported the seat with cloth to disguise the problem. After looking at this site I found over 700 complaints. The seat is compromised and it's a manufacturers safety defect. If an accident were to occur the driver could be thrown into the dash or worst because of a already broken driver seat support. Why should consumers not be made aware of this safety concern and the manufacture required to do a proper fix? Is the seat belt designed to hold the passenger and the seat in place during an accident?

Takata recall I am not sure why my VIN is not recall as yet. The car accelerates on occasion. I replave all coils now every 2 months because thats how long they are lasting Nissan weston florida has not been able to figure out why the car keeps burning coils out. This feels so dangerous to me on the hoghway I do not know if it is the transmission or computer its very scary
The vehicle's current problem is that the alternator is malfunctioned, and defected which causes the engine and battery to shut off and die. This already occurred more than 3 times. In addition, the oil tank pipe leaks. This is very dangerous because when the defected alternator fails, then it causes the battery and engine to shut off and die. If a person is driving a defected vehicle that has a defected and malfunctioned alternator that causes the engine to shutoff and die in the middle of a highway or street then a huge accident can occur and it will cause the driver and passengers to die or even get severely or permanently injured. This vehicle definitely has a recall, malfunctioned, and defected alternator. I bought my vehicle that is under warranty to the Nissan service dept but they never admit that it is the defected alternator problem and never fix it. …
Fuel gauge started to failed and check engine light turned on. I took the vehicle to the dealer and quoted for replace the two failing fuel sending units $100 to inspect + $700/$800 part & labor. Of course is not covered by Nissan. How many other brands beside Nissan have you seen with this problem? I am simply appalled by the lack of concern from Nissan. After reading complaints about air bag warning lights, drivers seat collapsing, visors falling blocking the view of the driver, check engine light coming on due to fuel gauge failure, wiper motor/transmission going out. My Nissan Murano has all these problems and more. I cannot believe Nissan does not identify this as a safety issues and allows the consumer to pay for these faulty components. The fact that Nissan does not stand up behind their products is an insult to everyone who bought this product. …
Fuel level sensor circuit, fuel tank assembly, fuel level circuit sensor high input car will not pass emissions testing Nissan USA does not respond to phone calls or call back regarding request for recall. This item was recalled on several other Nissan's , but not the Murano. Nissan states emissions control warranty on fuel systems is only for 3 years and my time is over since the car is now 5 years old . Since July of 2010 67,000 miles the tank has been telling me I am empty when I reach half a tank of gas the car thinks its empty, I had no intention of fixing it since I know how much gas is in the car but now that it won't pass emissions testing, I test every 2 years and sept 15, 2011 car went in for testing and failed due to this fuel problem, due to cost to fix, I have dealt with poor fuel economy and fuel sensor/gauge malfunction but now I can't put my car on the road anymore due …
