For several years now since I received this car from a family member gas gauge has been not working I contacted Nissan they said my year or VIN number was it affected but that's not accurate because it is so what can I do

I have had numerous issues starting in 13' with the ECM being replaced after 05' Armada stalled on highway traveling 70 miles/hour in heavy traffic. Recently in early 15' I ran out of gas when fuel gauge displayed a quarter tank of gas at a red light. Also in early 15' my A/C will only work when on high. Both of these issues are known & are listed as recalls that I will be making a service appointment with my local Nissan dealer to research, correct & fix. There are numerous reports of similar & exact known issues online. Most recently in November 15' I was picking my children up from school in the rain. I was traveling home when I had to apply my breaks, but they did not perform as they should. The breaks made a spring sound, the brake peddle had little to no resistance when I applied my foot to stop & the break light came on. …

On March 18, 2016, my husband was driving our 2005 Nissan Armada at approx 60mph on the highway. All of a sudden without warning vehicle lost power, luckily my husband was able to steer and coast vehicle to the side.this could have been tragedy.gas tank needle indicated that vehicle had a quarter tank of gas in it. No low gas light indicator was on or ever came on!! Our teenage son had been driving it for over a week. What if he was driving this when this occurred, he could have been killed or killed someone else!!!! Vehicle was at 87,632 miles when this occurred. I came to this website and observed where other drivers had the same incident happen.also observed where Nissan is aware of this flaw in the Armada. I advised my husband about this after he had already called a tow truck. Once he put gas in it, it started right back up. …

The fuel shows that I have a quarter of a tank or a bit more left and the number mileage on the screen shows the same. My vehicle randomly stops without warning. This has happened 3 times. I had the vehicle repaired last year for the same reason and here I am again. I see there is a recall and my car was not included. I called Nissan and the representative told me told contact NHTSA to be more effective.....he acknowledged the problem with the trucks. I feel as though it is a definite safety hazard. We were lucky this time. My air bag light will not shut off either and he mentioned this was another recall.. Why did this VIN miss the recalls. It clearly has those issues. They want me to go to a dealer and I cannot afford to do that. The dealers are more expensive. Hopefully there is assistance. There is a rattle with the A/C fan. …

I recently learned of the safety recall 10v-074 that described the exact situation I encountered in 2014. I was driving on expressway at 70 MPH when engine died. Luckily I was able to coast over to side of road, but was between an on ramp and off ramp--very dangerous. Fuel gauge showed 1/3 of a tank. Roadside assistance added a couple gallons of gas. I was able to start and drive to dealer. No recalls were identified for my VIN at the time so I was charged nearly $1000 to replace fuel pump/sender. I am bringing this to your attention because I have so far been unsuccessful in negotiating reimbursement from Nissan. Based on the number of complaints I see on your website, I believe a non-VIN specific safety recall campaign must be initiated because this problem will most likely continue since these vehicles can last a long time--my Armada had 154,000 miles on it at that time.

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. While driving 70 MPH, smoke appeared from the engine compartment and the vehicle stalled. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that a pipe burst. The pipe was replaced. Several days later, while driving approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle lost power and the service engine and other warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the fuel gauge displayed between 1/4 to empty. The vehicle restarted once the contact placed fuel in the tank. The contact also stated that the front passenger seat air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the air bag warning indicator or the fuel gauge misreading. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

As I was on my way home driving down the highway my truck cut off, this was the third time this has happened in over a year, each time I noticed my fuel gauge was reading 1/4 of a tank, so I check for recalls on the 2005 Nissan Armada and found that there was a recall for the fuel gauge system but when I called the Nissan corp. They told me that the recall was VIN specific and there was no recall on my vehicle. I don't understand how that could be, if there is a recall on the 2005 Armada for the fuel gauge system and my vehicles fuel system is having the same problem why isn't the recall on all Nissan armadas of the same year.
