Brakes all 46 →

I was driving in traffic and my breaks went out and I almost got in a collision. The breaks at first didn't work and then were bouncing and grinding to stop and the break warning light came on. I swerved and barely missed another car. I pulled over in a parking lot there was a burning smell and let it sit for 4hr. I took it to get the breaks fixed an they couldn't find any issues with the breaking system except for the Delta Stroke Sensor Failure. I understand this has a been an ongoing issue with cars. One situation killed 3 people and Nissan lost a $25M lawsuit on this. I can't understand why this wouldn't be on a recall as issues with the breaking system is life threatening. My car is now at Nissan getting fixed, has been there for 2 weeks, they still can't figure out the issue with the Delta Sensor breaking system. …

On a continuing basis, while vehicle is in motion, applying the brakes causes brake pedal to sink to the floorboard with loss of braking power and with loud grinding noise coming from front of vehicle. Turning vehicle off then back on temporarily fixes the issue.

Fuel & propulsion system

On June 10th, 2010 I was driving home in the fast lane/ carpool lane (approx 2:15 pm) and my car immediately decrease in acceleration. I knew I could not make it over to the right hand shoulder and I had to pull off into the left hand shoulder (this was very unsafe) I immediately called my roadside assistance and while I was on hold a highway patrol officer pulled up behind me. He was able to contact another patrol officer and they stopped all traffic and the first highway patrol officer pushed me to the righthand shoulder. The gas gauge was a little over 1/4 tank. The tow truck arrived and took me to the gas station - after putting in gas the car started right up. …

This is a concern. As a senior maintenance manger for the us army, recently retired, and a vast knowledge of mechanical, and safety training, I came across an issue that could be potentially fatal. The valve or rocker covers on the Armada slant down, away and back from the engine. The bottom back corner of the valve cover sits perfectly over the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter (drivers side). If the seal is broken and the oil seeps out it will drain to the lowest point and drip down onto the top of the heat shield for the catalytic converter and pool under the converter. When the vehicle is driven that oil gets hot and burns and can possibly catch fire. Depending on how much oil has dripped onto the heat shield and how long the vehicle is driven would determine the heat needed to generate a fire. …
