Just purchased a 1995 Mazda Millenia and have replaced 2 of the 4 o2 sensors. I now have a TCM error code. In researching the vehicle, I've found this to be a common occurance in these years and models. The VIN # is [redacted].

The car was in an accident on 12/14/98 on the rear passager door on the driver side. Within a week to 10 days the car was repaired and delivered to me on 12/24/98. I drove the car for about a thousand miles. One day while driving to work the car started making some funny sound. I pulledover to side of the road and checked the dip stick . The dip stick showed low oil . I exited the parkwa,y heading to the nearest gas station, I fill the engine with the necessary amount of oil, the car never started again. According to the mechanic, the engine stopped . The last oil change was on 10/31/98.also the mechanic stated that there was more miles on the car than was stated on the odometer disclosure statement.

There is a strong odor of gasoline inside of vehicle. Also, engine check light comes on. Owner's manual recommends use of premium gasoline. Dealership is aware of problem. First, the fuel guage malfunctioned. Then, there was an oil leak and oil pan gasket was sealed. Check engine light was the next problem and abv solenoid was rplaced. Lastly, check the engine light came on again. The dealer suggested not use premium gasoline but the consumer could not understand the reason. There was strong odor of gas, and smoke comes of tail pipe even after engine was turned off.

I bought this 1995 Mazda Millenia [redacted] in March. By the time I bought it, the odometer read 65000+. Later on because I had a lot of problems with it, I asked the repair shop to check it's background for me. The carfax report they forwarded to me showed in 2002 it was already 185000. The shop manager told me there were too many issues with the car and it's not worth fixing. From March till now, I've spent close to $1000 to fix various failures on the vehicle. Updated 07/19/2012

Heating gauge would go to top. Engine would overheat. Engine became damaged due to driving while it had overheated. Took to dealer & informed by mechanic vehicle out of warranty. Took to private mechanic & informed consumer that engine needed to be replaced. Currently, problem is still overheating & stalling out. Oil was found in the head gasket because the cause for vehicle's radiator failure and fuel pump malfunctioning was not known, the customer replaced the radiator.

I took my car into the dealer for front in wobble / noise and engine oil consumption. 3 weeks and $1980 later, the front end was worse and I was told that the oil is burning internally and needed to be replaced. Neither the dealer nor Mazda would work with me to get back some of the money. 3 months later, the transmission failed with no warning. This car is dealer maintained.

At 81,100 miles the engine"check light came on. The dealer told me to replace the crankshaft sensor at $700.00 which I did. Less than 300 mi later, the light came on again. This time I was told the whole computer was failing & needed replacement at $1600.00. Since my car has much less than 100,000 miles, I feel these problems should be covered by a warranty.

Engine failed/seized due to low oil on 11/22/01 without any indicators from dash. Oil recently changed on 9/25/01.no indication of any problems at all! Cv boots and axles needed replacement at 68,000 miles to the tune of $1300.00. Is it possible that engine is too powerful for vehicle or oil sensor is defective? Have only had car since 5/01.

While driving about 60 MPH engine had shut down without a prior warning. Engine could not be restarted, and vehicle was towed to a garage where the technician told consumer that engine had shutdown due to camshaft cracking, and there was a lack of lubrication. Mazda dealer recommended engine replacement.

Engine · Dec 2000

Engine gaskets disintergrated allowing oil into gaps on spark plugs thus preventing several cylinders from firing. Automobile did not respond as it should have when attempting to accelerate, which created a very dangerous situation. Even Mazda's mechanics think that Mazda should be forced to correct this problem.
