Air bags

My wife and her parents and I were cruising along a state highway at approximately 35 MPH when we heard a loud noise and both airbags deployed. I was driving and my father in law was in the front passenger seat. The airbag hit me in the arm and across the abdomen leaving cuts, and severe concussion as well as burns. Three weeks prior I had surgery on my shoulder for a torn rotor cup. My shoulder May be reinjured. My arm appeared to be broken but was not. My father in law had cuts and burns to his face.powder from the airbags filled the car completely before I could get the car stopped .my wife had bronchitis at the time and I have emphysema. There was no reason for the airbags to deploy.
