My wheel on front driver's side is wobbly and I just decided to look up for any recalls and I'm lucky we didn't have a major accident I drive the interstate almost daily also I want to report that my door handles have had to be replaced 6 times since we've bought the car in 2019
There was a recall on my vehicle in oct 2016 , I had already lost control of my vehicle and had an accident in sept 2016 and had to pay insurance fees storage fees and lost wages due to accident. Mazda sent me a letter as of March 2018 saying that thet now have the parts to fix it after 6 months..I was driving down the street and lost control of steering and crashed into a parked car. I would like to find out how I can be compensated because I lost control of the vehicle because of defect
In March 20, 2018 I have received a safety recall letter from Mazda (po box 1091, royal oak, mi 48068); safety recall 9716h, NHTSA campaign no. 16v-593. I called the service department, suburban Mazda, 37911 grand river ave., farmington hills mi 48335 [phone]) where the service manager informed me about non availability of the required part at that time (04-18-2018). Manager stated once the service department will receive the part they will contact me to perform the repair. As of today (sept. 17, 2018) the Mazda, suburban imports of farmington hills, service department did not notify me about availability of the part and the scheduling of the repair.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Mazda CX-7. While driving 60 MPH, the contact heard a creaking sound coming from the wheels. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or mechanic; however, the contact scheduled an appointment with cascade autocenter (148 easy st, wenatchee, wa 98801). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure, but had previously been made aware of the fact that the contact had received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V593000 (suspension). At the time, the manufacturer stated that parts were not available. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Waiting on repair parts from aug 2016 recall notification.. Aug 10,2016 manufacturer recall number-9716h NHTSA recall number-16v-593 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available as a result of this looseness, a rattle May occur at ball joint of lower control arm. After extended operation in such condition, the ball joint and lower control arm May separate, causing a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash. It has been 8 months since being notified and they still have not received the replacement parts to repair this issue.
I received a recall notice for ball joints however no parts were available at the time to correct the problem. Waited over a year and the ball joint let go so I was unable to drive my Mazda. I took it to the repair shop and had it fixed. 3 months later I received a notice from Mazda that the parts were in. I called Mazda 3 times asking for a reimbursement as I had to pay out of my own pocket for a recall that they were unable to fix. I have not received any calls back. I would like to be compensated for my out of pocket costs to repair the ball joints.
Front suspension ball joint fitting. Water May enter the front suspension ball joint fitting. Driving on roadways during the winter months in areas that use roadway salts can lead to salt and water intrusion into the ball joint causing corrosion. As a result the ball joint loosens and a rattle May occur. Extended operation in this condition will deteriorate the ball joint and the lower control arm could separate. Significant loss of steering control May increase the chance of a fatal crash. At this time we are experiencing a small rattle in the front.
There is a recall NHTSA 16V593 regarding the suspension on this vehicle. I own a Mazda cx7 sgt xa with 24,000 miles. Wanted to trade this vehicle in and Acura dealer advised about recall and stated they could not accept as trade until recall is fixed. Contacted Mazda and was advised that the parts are not available to replace the lower control arms. Mazda advised that they will notify me in mid September about implementing a remedy. I am left in the situation that I can not trade in this vehicle should I want to.
Severe clunking noise from front driver wheel when driving on most roads. Noise is believed to be related to the failing ball joint. Manufacturer has an open recall 9716h / NHTSA recall number 16v-593. Despite the recall notice being issues on August 10, 2016 (18 months ago), the status is "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available" according to the dealer. The vehicle is not safe to drive and Mazda has no timeframe for a fix.
On 8/10/16 I received notification number 16v-593 from NHTSA stating that the lower control arms on this vehicle May be defective and should be replaced. Mazda has to this date done nothing to address and remedy this problem.
