Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Lexus NX350, NX250, 2023-2026 RX350, and 2024-2026 TX350 vehicles. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
Remedy: Dealers will update the rearview camera software or replace the rearview camera, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2026.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Toyota Corolla, Corolla Cross, Corolla Cross Hybrid, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Tacoma, Lexus RX350, 2023-2024 NX250, and NX350 vehicles that may have been incorrectly repaired under previous NHTSA recall number 23V-480.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the spiral cable assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Lexus RX 350, RX 350h, 2024-2025 NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h vehicles. The head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats may be inadvertently removed without pressing the lock release button.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat head rest assemblies, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 14, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

I was in a car accident on the freeway . I had just got onto the freeway so I couldn't have been going that fast . The brakes on this Lexus Nx [redacted] to say the least . Also the collision sensor and warning also are useless. The warning light and sound didn't go off until I was basically rear ending the other vehicle . I had a different , 10 year old car . A 2014 that would start to pump air and brake itself even when the car sensor believed it was close to a car and I wasn't braking . This 2024 Lexus didn't brake nor warn me in time . When I did notice the car in front of me had come to a complete stop I immediately hit the brakes but the car was still sliding forward ! This sliding motion happened once before when I made a u- turn and had to stop because of the line going into a shopping center . Luckily that time I had more space and lower speed and more time to react.
The Drivers side door (light at the bottom of the door) sparked and then the door went up in flames. At that point the electricity in the car ceased to work. The car is available for inspection at the dealership where we had it towed. If the door was closed and there was someone in the car when it happened then they would have gotten burned or worse. Our insurance company is investigating and Lexus has been taking their time and helpful in the matter. Fire Department checked out the car at the time and said the wires in the door were very hot after putting out the fire. There were no symptoms or warnings prior to this happening.
Driver assistance
Possible malfunction involves vehicle speed control and braking during a low-speed parking maneuver in my 2024 Lexus NX350h. While slowly pulling into a parking space, I was actively applying the brake and creeping forward. While my foot was on the brake, the vehicle suddenly surged/accelerated forward instead of continuing to decelerate. The vehicle ran over a sign and jumped a curb before I could stop it. The vehicle is available for inspection and is currently with the Lexus dealer. My safety and the safety of others were put at serious risk because this occurred unexpectedly while parking. If a pedestrian, fixed structure, or another vehicle had been in front of me, this could have caused severe injury or worse. Thankfully, I was not physically injured, but this was a traumatic event, and I was terrified. The problem has not been reproduced by me after the incident. …

Body & structure
The driver's side door on my 2024 Lexus NX 350h has completely seized and will not open from either the inside or the outside. The vehicle is equipped with the electronic e-Latch system. Even the emergency mechanical override fails to release the latch. This is a severe, life-threatening safety hazard. In the event of an accident, fire or emergency, I would be trapped inside the vehicle with no way to exit from the driver's seat. An authorized dealership (Lexus of Tustin) has kept the vehicle for over two weeks without resolving the issue. They failed to diagnose the electronic latch failure properly and instead presented a retail estimate of $781.88 just to "attempt" a repair, while officially advising in writing to take this 2024 vehicle to a third-party bodyshop because their technicians cannot properly access the component. …
This vehicle has the standard headlights. No headlight cleaners included. Live in Colorado. When it snows, the front end of the car attracts snow to the point all the safety features shut down and the headlights pack up with snow so bad you cannot drive the car at night. You can't see the road and other drivers flash their headlights to tell you the lights are not on, even though they are. Only solution is to pull over in the storm and brush the snow off the headlights. That last about 5 miles. This is a severe safety issue in which Lexus should be recalled to add headlight washers as part of the standard headlights.
