I was on my way to work, driving about 30 MPH, and all of a sudden, some "d" light came on, & then all the lightd came on & then I recieved a message that I need to switch my gears & my tire locked up & my car just shut down. I was not able to turn my car back on. After several attempts to push my start button, after finally getting it to turn back on it stalled out again. I was able to get it to turn on again then I made it home. I started reading blogs & it said to check your oil. I checked it and it was completely empty. I changed my oil last month and barely have driven it. I have a 2018 Renegade with 24K miles on it. If my car did this when I jumped on the highway would of caused a major car accident. No reason why all my oil should be gone

Was driving this evening, and got about 2 blocks from my house. After stopping at a stop sign, and then continuing through, halfway through the intersection, all service lights came on (service electronic parking brake, service ESC, service engine, service transmission), and then it said to shift into park while I lost power and had to coast to the curb. When I got to the curb, the lights next to the shifter (prnd) were flashing until I put it in park. I shut the car off, and when it came back on, only the service engine light remained. I phoned Jeep, and they were going to have it towed to a dealership, but none were open, so I have to wait until the morning, and had to leave my car on the street, because if I went more than 10 feet, the power would go out again and would lose acceleration. …

On at least six different occasions while making a slow speed left turn (under 15 MPH) and once while making a left u-turn (at approx. 5 MPH), my 2017 Jeep Renegade experiences a loss of power and the ABS warning light flashes. There is no acceleration while stepping on the gas pedal. This condition lasts approximately 3 - 5 seconds. On one occasion, the vehicle behind me nearly rear-ended me as my vehicle slowed. The dealer has explained that the vehicle is experiencing a condition that exceeds a parameter set by the software. There have been no codes "set" by these occurrences. They are a bit unnerving and a safety concern. This concern began when the Jeep had approximately 1000 miles on the odometer. I now have 6700 and the last occurrence was August 4, 2017.

The traction control on this vehicle will engage at random when turns are made. When this happens, the vehicle will lose power and it's momentum will cease. I believe this behavior caused an accident I was in which resulted in the total loss of the vehicle. I was making a dog leg turn merging into traffic, with the lost of momentum I was hit on the right rear. The traction control engaged the day before as well. This issues is reported by other individuals on various web boards. It was fortunate that there was no serious injury. Consumer stated vehicle was totaled.

My car "service engine" light came on as well as a message on the dashboard with the words "safety assist" and "security". I immediately brought the car to the dealer. After 2 days in the shop, they said it was (as posted on the paperwork released to me) "cylinder 3 misfire and cold start rough start. Found cylinder 3 plug fouled out poss from moving vehicle all winter without ever driving vehicle. Replaced #3 spark plug, swapped coil #3 with coil #2 to see if misfire moves to cylinder #2. This way if condition is not resolved, I will know if coil is bad or engine has a mechanical problem. Rfh flashed and ABS flashed" they released the car to me and said it was fixed and safe. Upon driving to work at 5 am, in the dark, I had no exterior lights and could only use my high beams if I held them on. I had no back lights. Cars approached very close to my car and I had no idea why. …

I have been taking my car to the dealership with the same complaint for over 2 yrs. They charge me for things that they say its not under warranty. I pay but car continues the same as I brought it in. I had to call "corporate" so they can get involved and help me, they did and in a way I was punished by keeping the car for a month and when I asked to get it back they kept telling me they are waiting on parts.at one point my granddaughter got sick (lives with me) and I called them I need my car soon my kid is sick and I was told "get an uber". Finally after a month I get my car and now is worse than ever. My daughter was driving and car smelled like smoke, all the lights on dashboard started going crazy, the air conditioner went dead and vehicle stopped. I have spent so much money complaining about the same thing and now im without a car again. I need help please. …

The vehicles traction control light comes on during normal driving causing loss of throttle an power making you exit to shoulder or sometimes after 10 sec or so the power will return. Car does not die it just takes throttle control away while traction light flashes. This is all during normal dry conditions and normal driving. I have also seen a huge amount of this same issue on the forums. My vehicle has been in the dealership service department four times and they have no fix yet. It is very unsafe and my wife is afraid to drive her brand new Jeep. It's really ridiculous that we have to deal with all this an no one seems to care until someone gets killed because of the issues. And if this doesn't get corrected someone is going to get hurt or killed in a car accident. …
