Radio doesnt work -wipers come on by them selfs-little heat turn blow up brake lights come on, slip light for tires comes on dash and seat belt guy with airbag lights up on dash -motor loses power driving down road with heater blower on. Took to mr. Tire auto service center for a full curtesy inspepection and they found out its eletrical issue . I have a video of me sitting in my work parking lot with the lights on dash . I dont know what the heater has to do with the lights on dash or my brake lights coming on and radio not working and why the motor loses power drive it im scard of driving it because of a fire braking out but I have no choice it the only vechicle I have to drive back and forth to work. I had this vehicle for less then three years.
The EVAP container isnt the right part and obviously was actually for a Jeep wrangler and has an extra inlet. After numerous attempts to contact Jeep for the last 4 months and still nothing this vehicle will stall while driving and it drives alot of interstate travel which is a huge safety risk and still have gotten nowhere all I want is for Jeep to make this right and fix the manufacturer mess up.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. While stopped, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. The ABS and traction warning indicators illuminated. The air bags in the driver and passenger side headrests deployed. The contact sustained injuries to the neck and nerve damage to the left side. The passenger seated in the front sustained neck injuries, which required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed a default in a wheel sensor that needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with a brake sensor defect. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, but the issue could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.
On 3 separate occasions, over the course of the last 5 months, my Jeep has just randomly quit (engine stalled). This has happened while driving down the road -(twice on a freeway, once on a surface street)- all the dash indicator lights have come on and my Jeep engine has just quit. I've been very lucky that I was not in heavy traffic and was able to coast to the side of the road without incident. After a couple of attempts, I was able to restart my Jeep. There is no warning to this random stalling, no sputtering, no loss of power, it just quits with no indication. My mechanic states that this due to a defective totally integrated power module that is currently on a nationwide backorder. There are 18 orders in front of mine from my local dealership (that's just one dealership). …
It was light to medium rain while stopped at a red light where traffic took off and had to stop soon after. As soon as I hit my brakes the ABS kicked in increasing the stopping distance of my Jeep causing me to rear end another vehicle. At the same time the ABS brake light, traction control brake light and stability control lights all came on at the same time and remained lit. I called the dealership the next day and was told this wasn't a serious problem and to bring it on Monday (I called Friday morning). The first time the dealer corrected the problem by replacing the brake switch and the tail light lamp switch. As I was leaving the dealership, less than a mile away, all of the lights came back on. They corrected it again, so I picked it up and it happened again two days later. …
This car has eletrical issues, while driving, the horn started going off on his own. I never use my horn, and can count on 1 hand how many times I used it. The repair cost me over $800. I also had to replace the motor for the rear door, I never use the hatch, and I had to replace. My car is now currently being repair for another electrical issue. The passager door is closed, however the door ajar light is on causing my interior light not to stay on. The passenger door is completely closed- due to this electrical issue my lights will not shut off and will kill the battery. I have also experience both windows decided to open and close while driving on their own. This car is an electrical disaster. I do not drive long distance, just local. Its a 2010 and I have 75, 000 miles on it.
The skyslider roof on my 2008 Jeep Liberty is broken and has been for years. I had it fixed while under warranty, but it broke several months later after my warranty expired. Now I have been quoted $4000.00 to repair it again. It came off the tracks while driving and started flapping in the air. Water leaks in the car even when the roof worked. The roof comes off the tracks and then breaks the cable that runs it. You can be stationary or moving. The second issue is the wheel speed sensors go out frequently, and disables your 4 wheel drive. So, if a sensor goes out while you are off roading, you are stuck..... Thats really not cool if you are in a secluded place with no one around to help and zero cell service. Just some really dumb engineering, and totally unsafe.
Tl* the contact owned a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, he attempted to brake while maneuvering the vehicle to avoid crashing into another vehicle which was stopped. The electronic stability control prevented the vehicle from successfully maneuvering. As a result, the vehicle was involved in a rollover crash. The contact sustained a broken wrist and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a towing yard. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.
