I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I proceeded to apply the gas and accelerate. I quickly noticed that the vehicle began accelerating at a faster rate than I was intending. The vehicle continued to accelerate without me applying my foot to the gas pedal. Nothing would stop the continued acceleration (application of brake). I crashed into the rear of a vehicle in my lane going approximately 50-60mph (estimate). I am unsure what the issue was that resulted in this crash. In doing some internet searching, it seems it could have something to do with the transition from electric to gas when I was stopped temporarily at the intersection. It could have been a faulty sensor (throttle position) or software glitch. These components have not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. …

Our car had 2149 miles on it. Engine started to stalled on [redacted] on [redacted] from OKC to Tulsa. We made it to Tulsa. The car was towed to Tulsa Hyundai dealership on 12/25/2024. After diagnostic on 12/26/24, we were told the car had bad gas. The dealership performed the necessary work including replacing 4 fuel injectors in order to fix the problem. It cost $3991.52 and it took a week. We were told since this was not a manufacturer problem that we are responsible for the repair. We paid for the repair. We always get our gas from Costco. So we filed a report with Costco stating that we got bad gas from them. Costco turned it into their adjuster at Gallagher Bassett. He investigated and told us that his findings indicated that Costco did not have bad gas in the month of December according to their quality reports. No other cars filed complaints regarding gas issue. …
The 2025 Hyundai Hybrid Santa Fe SEL has experienced two instances (Nov 2025, 11k miles & Apr 2026, 14k miles) where the combustion engine fails to provide power to the vehicle's wheels. When accelerating to speeds above 30 miles per hour or when traveling up inclines, the combustion engine's rotations per minute (rpm) spiked, however the vehicle's power-train still rapidly lost power and the hybrid battery drained significant charge. During one instance in November 2025, while attempting to accelerate to 55 mph up an incline, the hybrid battery drained enough that the vehicle was required to be pulled off the road to allow the battery to charge. …
