My 2016 Hyundai Genesis started flashing a code stating "Check PSB" only a week after buying the car. PSB means Pre-active Seat Belt. The seat belts somehow interlink with the fuel pump. My car has a faulty fuel pump module, causing the PSB warning to flash, even when the vehicle is in motion. It also causes a loud humming coming from the rear of my car, as I accelerate. I've done research, and it says MANY owners of the same vehicle report the faulty fuel pump module as the culprit, causing the Check PSB. As well as many owners online stating their vehicle has done the same as mine. There is active recalls on the newer years for this issue, such as the 2023. When the same issue is reported multiple times on the 2016s too, there should be a recall. This is a common issue, & quite frankly a dangerous one. …
About 5-6 months ago, when turning left or right, the steering wheel started essentially locking in that position, and I have to yank it back to center. It will not self-center. The dealer was not able to fix it, and it's a very dangerous car to drive now. I will not let any other members of my family drive it. Also, I've had a severe drivetrain vibration for about a year, and over $7,000 was spent on a new driveshaft and transfer case. It is now worse than it was and the dealer doesn't know what to do. Even with only 34,000 miles on the car, it is out of warranty, and Hyundai doesn't seem to care. I have installed brand new tires hoping that it might help both situations, but it didn't. I'm just at my wit's end now. I guess I will just have to park the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light or while the vehicle was in drive, the vehicle failed to move, and the engine shut off unexpectedly. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel. To restart the vehicle, the driver had to shift the gear selector into park and then press the start button. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure or determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of people with Hyundai vehicles with the 3.8 engine from 2010-2016 with blown engines because of rod bearing failures with anywhere from as low as 60,000 miles to 150,000 miles. How many have to fail and leave people stranded before somebody does something about it. My car engine failed at 116,000 and has been at the dealership a month already and their not doing [redacted] about it to fix it. It'll cost me and everyone else thousands of dollars. These 3.8 engines are just as likely to fail as all the Hyundai 2.0 engines that are currently being recalled. Somebody need ls to do something about it cuz I'd say there will be a lawsuit coming for Hyundai in the near future
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Genesis coupe. While accelerating from a stop light, a loud, unknown noise was heard coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stopped and exited the vehicle, and noticed that the differential detached with all the screws on the ground. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. Two weeks later, the vehicle was towed to the kendall Hyundai dealer (located at 15895 s dixie hwy, miami, fl 33157), but could not be serviced because a representative had to inspect the vehicle first. The contact called the dealer three weeks later and was informed that he would had to pay a diagnostic and repair fee. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the cost. The vehicle still remains at kendall Hyundai. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that they would get back to him. No further assistance was provided. …
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a whining noise was heard while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer, where it was repaired under Technical Service Bulletin #15-01-054 for Rear Differential Inspection; however, the contact stated that the failure recurred and that while he was stopped at a stop signal, the vehicle lost motive power, and he noticed that the driveshaft had become detached. The vehicle was inoperable and was first towed to the residence and then back to the local dealer. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting further diagnostic and repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. …
