Received recalled letter in mail for car almost 9 months ago. Hyundai has yet to issue fix. 9 months to fix a potential life threatening issue is ridiculous. To top things off we are told to continue driving the car even though it will eventually explode into a fireball of a mess after enough brake fluid leaks into electrical components. We have a 9 month old baby and the Hyundai Azera is considered our "family car". Fix this asap! You're putting families in danger. Either fix or supply families with a loaner car. Additionally, the advice from the car company is to leave car outside to avoid your house catching on fire. We are told to keep cars outside knowing these specific cars are theft liabilities.
The ABS control module needs replacing. The day it started with issues, my abs light as well as esc light, at first. Later all dash lights came on, loud beeping and eventually lost all power while driving. I understand the "fuse" was replaced during recall, but if the damage was already in the making, why should consumer have to pay? I have had it to two different mechanics, first was hyundai dealer, both diagnostic ran, both same problem. Abs control module going out, interior failure!! My car only has 80,000!! Yes, it 12 year old vehicle, has had routine maintenance and garage kept. This is a safety issue and should be taken care of by dealer.
The contact's wife owns a 2013 Hyundai Azera. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was shuddering and then stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone, where it was diagnosed and determined that the spark plugs, and ignition coils needed to be replaced. The contact purchased the parts, and the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the parts were replaced; however, the vehicle was still shuddering while driving. A mobile independent mechanic recommended that the key fob battery be replaced. The key fob battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was determined that the starter had failed. The dealer replaced the starter; however, the failure persisted. …
On 3/4/24 my break light came on approx 9:15pm . I drove the car about 10 min home and pulled in the driveway at 9:30 PM. My husband assessed brake fluid, to find it needed and brake fluid. He added break fluid and told me to take the car to get it checked in the am. The car was making a continuous humming noise. @ 4:55 AM on 3/5/24 we awoke to the tires exploding & the car fully engulfed in flames. Fire department had to put out fire. Then we remember the ABS BREAK recall from Hyundai was no remedy.
On 9.19.2019 my wife and I were driving and the engine stalled 3 times while driving. It started every time without problems, it did not stall again on the return trip. The trip was about 50 miles each way. Over the last 3 years I had engine starting problems 5 times, mostly on hot days and when stopping for a short period, e.g. Stopping for gas, after waiting for +- 10 minutes the engine started normally. The 'engine check' light has been on and off for the last 2 years. I am in the process of obtaining repair information.

I purchased my 2009 Hyundai Azera limited edition in 2019 used with 98385 miles after I had the car for 9mths the car stopped running and the company I purchased the car from uses a repair company called Silver Rock which maintained the car I was told a belt popped after receiving the car back 2 days later the engine blow. Extreme fire hazard warning - Hyundai - insufficient wiring insulation. 2009 Azera stalled and died going 45 MPH during light rain 12/9/19. Tow truck driver tested battery and found low alternator output. Replaced alternator and valve cover gasket where oil was leaking onto alternator. Once repaired, continued to get p0108 error code and stalling after 20 min of run. Removed paint and added electrical gel to all main ground wire to body/frame points (all were painted, unsure how it was grounded in first place). Problem persisted with new codes now p2106, p1295, p0122, p0222, p0123, p0108, p2173, p161b. Limped car to local shop and called Hyundai, who assigned case #16592407. The contact owns a 2008 Hyundai Azera. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the battery charging warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the valve cover gasket was leaking onto the alternator, causing the alternator to fail. The mechanic replaced the valve cover gasket, the battery, and the alternator; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was repaired for a second time; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred every 3 years. The contact related the failure to TSB Number: 21-01-047H-1. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
