What owners report
I was involved in a rear end collision earlier today. My vehicle sustained significant front end damage and the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had to be flat bedded to a Massachusetts State Police Barracks, pending further action by my insurance company. There were no injuries.
This has something to do with circuit board for the seat sensor that activates air bag? I can't get dealer to take care of recall. They keep saying we don't have the parts. This is going on since at least September of last year. Why have recall if they aren't going to do anything about it? They make appointments and then cancel. I have called Honda Customer Service number(twice) listed on the recall paper twice. Always get told to call dealer and talk to them. Dealer makes appointment and then cancels a few days before the date to bring it in. I have contacted dealer many times about this. Why issue a recall and then don't fix anything?

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, a large sheep ran out of a yard and crashed into her vehicle with its head and horns on the driver's side front end near the bumper. The contact stated that the impact moved the vehicle to the right side of the road. The contact stated that she was lifted out of the seat and forward by the impact. The contact hit her head on the roof of the vehicle. The contact stated that her abdomen and left knee hit the steering wheel, and her right knee hit the dashboard. The contact stated that the air bag had not deployed, and the seat belt had not restrained her. The local dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V321000 (Back Over Prevention); unless the rearview camera image was blank and inoperable while reversing. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. …

A sudden unintended acceleration resulted in a crash 1-08-2020 at 6:55 am. This occurred while pulling into a parking space. While breaking the vehicle head lights went out, engine RPM suddenly increased dramatically causing vehicle to strike light pole, which fell to the side of vehicle. This resulted in to be determined vehicle and property damage.
Takata reccall - I own an affected vehicle and despite calling Honda no one has contacted me about providing safe transportation until the issue is fixed. The parts to fix May not be ready until the summer and their own site states that danger includes serious injury and even death. I have been in 2 accidents where the airbags did not deploy and am concerned about the safety of myself and my family when driving this vehicle.
I was notified of the recall March 2016. Dealer still has not received the parts. No one knows when to expect them. Corporate hot line was no help. Honda should face some sort of financial penalty for this lack of concern.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.

Electrical overstress
The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this investigation to determine if the failure of airbags to deploy during severe crashes, in certain vehicles, was the result of a safety related defect. During the investigation a complex failure was studied that can result in non-deployment of subject vehicle air bags and other restraint system devices in severe crash events.
